It's time for CHANGE!

ChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChange ChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChange ChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChangeChange

There, my friends, is the entire campaign of any of the three leading Democrats for the Presidency. Oh, that, and "Bush sucks."

It's pretty sad that for three straight elections, the Democrats are tryingt o campaign against George W. Bush. The sad part is the realization that Bush cannot and is not running this go around. Yet, that's all you hear...other than the promise of change.

What change do they mean? Let us explore.

CHANGE= Higher taxes for everybody. The top 5% income earners pay over 60% of the tax revenue...which is a higher percentage than at any time during any Democratic, high-tax era. You hear the Dems crying that the rich pay too little in taxes...yet they are paying more than 60% of the revenue...How much to the rich need to pay? Do the rich need to pay until they become non-rich? Hmmm...sounds like Socialism/Communism to me...

CHANGE= Stifling a growing economy. How often do you hear good news about the economy? NEVER. However, the fact of the matter, with the exception of gas prices, everything in our economy is doing solidly well. Unemployment has been at near-record lows most of the last 6 years. The stock market is still on the rise...there are modest corrections every so often, but the market is doing well.

CHANGE= Terrorist attacks on American people and property. 1993-2000 we saw attacks on the World Trade Center, American Embassies in Africa, and the attack on the USS Cole...during this administration, we have had one while the terrorists have attacked more liberally-run nations and not made a successful attempt on our interests...

CHANGE= Amnesty for illegal aliens. A Democrat President will open the borders and forgive the millions of law-breakers who reside in our country ILLEGALLY.

CHANGE= More government involvement in your daily lives. All you hear is how the government will provide this and do that under the Democrats...they are going to pay for it all by taxing the rich into oblivion...and the non-rich will eventually live under Big Brother and have to seek government permission on when to pee and what to wear to work.

Wow. I hope everyone goes out and votes for a Democrat government. George Orwell's 1984 was only off by maybe 25 years....

Cry Me a River!!!

Aww...poor little girl. Getting picked on by all the big, mean boys! How dare they question her!
How dare they ask for something so hard as substance and actual ideas concerning her campaign!

This is HER election. This is HER time. She has fought for 35 years for this! While she cannot and will not provide evidence of any success she has had in those 35 years, how dare we question her! Why, she is a woman, you big, fat meanies!

The stress of all these unfair questions broke her to staged tears. I feel bad for her. Poor thing.

How can we be so unfair? She is a woman. She is married to an adulterous, Narcissist buffoon! She raised a daughter that bolted to the other side of the country the second she graduated high school. She won a popularity contest for a seat in congress after her opponent went down to cancer.

Hasn't she done enough? Hasn't she been through enough? Come on people, leave her alone!

The White House is hers! There are towels and paintings that she forgot to steal...I mean, borrow...for her presidential library.

She has fought for change for women and children for 35 years. Isn't that enough? She cannot name any one thing she successfully won in that fight, but all we should care about is the fight.
She has fought in Congress for change! She fought to send us to war in Iraq. She then fought to get our military to cut and run. She then fought to repeal the Bush Tax Cuts. She then fought to cut funding to our military while in Iraq. She then fought to rename some post offices and bridges...HOLY COW!!!

That is it! That is where she led our Democratic Congress the last two years! Instead of the travesty of the Anywheretown Post Office, it is now the Joe Schmo Memorial Post Office! Plus, we no longer have the eyesore of the 26th Street Bridge, we now, thanks to her 35 years of fighting, have the Jane Schmo Memorial Bridge.

Wow, with that kind of success and the lack of respect shown by the American people, no wonder she cried. No wonder she felt so hurt that we would turn on her like that. For three days, the country listened to the faint whine of millions of tiny violins as we regretted how she was mistreated. She is a woman for pete's sake!!!

However, as though it were staged by some left-wing Hollywood director...hmmm...well...but I digress...America came through! She won New Hampshire. She IS the Comeback Kid! She IS the Heir Appearant for the throne, er, White House!

Oh, yeah, and McCain won, too.

The most liberal candidates of both parties won a liberal region of the country...imagine that.

My ticket is still Fred/Mitt 08!

2008 Tournament for the Oval Office

In watching this race, I am not quite sure where to start.

First, let me talk about the Iowa winners: Governor Huckabee and Senator Obama. I don't want either one to win the nomination.

For the GOP, I don't want Huckabee because he is too left-leaning to be a Conservative Republican. His track record and his belief system for making policy make him too easy to beat in a head-to-head race with the Democrats. He is setting himself up for the same fall that many Republican Congressmen did in 2006 by shifting towards the left on issues. The Democrats did not win in 2006, Republicans gave it all away. This is the year we restore order, and Huckabee just is not the man.

Rudy Guliani is not the man. He'd be a great leader of Congress as the Vice President, but he is not the true conservative we need at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Ron Paul's goofy self doesn't need to be considered, either.

John McCain is too much a wild card to be our conservative leader. He plays footsie with the left too much. He gets things proposed and written, but he gives up too much to get anything done. He'll give away the house to save the barn. He'll give away the land to save the crops. He is also someone the Democrats want to run against because he is a lot like them, and they think they can beat him.

There are two men who truly need to be considered to run on the Republican ticket, and it does not matter who is at the top of the ticket. I am talking about the Governor Mitt Romney and former Senator Fred Thompson. A Romney-Thompson ticket would be outstanding.

Romney won the governorship in a ultra-Liberal state. He led the way and he is a strong, fundamentally-sound leader. You could say that I am sMITTen with Mr. Romney as a candidate.

Fred Thompson is the one true sensible conservative. He has a very calm, collected, intelligent, and common-sensical way about him. He is not in the ankle-biting, backstabbing, and name calling that the rest of the field is in to. Thompson wants to focus on issues and on what we need to do to continue to grow our economy, protect our borders, and fight terrorism from taking innocent lives.

I would love to see Mr. Thompson take the lead with the young, upstart Romney in the number two spot. Eight years from now, we'll see Mr. Romney slide into the number one slot with, perhaps, former Virginia Governor George Allen make a political comeback in 2016? One unfortunate problem within the Republican party is that one potentially great presidential candidate has the wrong last name.

Jeb Bush did outstanding things in Florida. I would like to see the former governor take a crack at the White House in 2016, after an 8 year Thompson presidency.

On the other side, I want Hillary to win the nomination. She is beatable. Why? Because once she is exposed, people will realize that by the end of her first term, everyone in America will be handing their paychecks to the government and might get a weekly allowance back. I mean, where is the money for Universal Health Care, Universal Pre-K Education, Universal College Grants for Undocumented Workers, Universal Car Insurance, Universal Plastic Surgery Coverage, and every other plan she wants to just give away? I want to see Hillary win, because we can beat her.

I am scared of Obama and Edwards.

Especially Barak Hussein Obama. He is too much of an unknown. What do we know about him? What has he done in less than one term in the Senate to be qualified to run the world? Why is he so bent on keeping his Muslim beliefs under wraps (while the left fires attacks on Romney for being Mormon?)? We do not know enough about Obama and he has accomplished little to nothing in Congress to show him worthy of being President.

What has Edwards done? He was too young and inexperienced to be president in 2004, so what has he done the last four years? Edwards talks a good game, but he is nothing but a power-hungry lawyer. He is part of the reason for the high costs of health care. He sued doctors and hospitals with frivilous lawsuits to make a name for himself. He owns part of a company that has been foreclosing on Katrina victims. He is a money-hungry, power-hungry, spineless weasel that has accomplished nothing. He was so bad as a Congressman, that he dropped out of his reelection bid because he knew the residents of North Carolina were not going to reelect him.

So, with just under 300 days to go, I am looking forward to Mr. Thompson grabbing this bull by the horns and leading the GOP to victory. Right now he is waiting in the wings, letting Rudy and McCain and Romney take each other out, and when the dust is settled and we are ready to focus on issues, Mr. Thompson will take the lead.

It should be a fun ride!

About Me...And This Blog Site...

My name is David A. Ebert, the oldest of two siblings produced by my parents, Leah and David G. Ebert. We are all Republicans, but I take it a toke or two...well, closer to 10 tokes...further than my parents,

I am very much a Right Wing Conservative. I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe Americans, in general, are smarter than elected officials in Washington, DC. We should be more in charge than the Government.

We, as individuals and families, should have more responsibility over our own, hard-earned money and not send more and more and more taxes to the out-of-touch politicians. I believe the government is there to serve us, and not us to serve them.

I believe in America's greatness and that, overall, we are the most generous, forgiving, intelligent, and genuinely decent country in the world. I also believe that we are the most powerful nation in the history of the world, but do not use that power to hold over the collective heads of other nations.

I believe that low taxes, intelligent spending of those tax revenues, strong initiatives on defense and education, and small government influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans are some of the most important ideals related to how the US should be operated.I believe in the freedoms granted by the US Constitution. I believe that judges should uphold and interpret the laws as written in the US Constitution, and not refer to any foreign legislation to make their historic decisions.

I believe the First Amendment, as well as the entire Bill of Rights, are the most important laws this world has ever seen.

I believe abortion is WRONG. I believe that homosexuality is WRONG. I believe that allowing anyone to publicly debate the possibility of lowering the age of consent, especially for young boys to consent to older men, is a tragedy of morality. I believe that organizations like NAMBLA should be publicly shunned and not given a platform to spew their harmful and dangerous rhetoric.

I believe there is a sad lacking in the ability of our nation to appreciate and accept self responsibility. We, as a nation, blame daddy, racism, sexism, classism, mommy, the mean teacher, the mean little league coach, the loud mouthed uncle, the financial status of the neighborhood in which we grew up in, and a million and one other reasons why we do not succeed. How often do we, as a nation, take the blame for our own mistakes? How often do you hear someone accept responsibility for their own mistakes? How often?

I am conservative. I am worried about the future of the country and the planet, especially if O-BOMB-A or Billary Clinton make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I will start posting my fears, my hopes, my ideas as they all relate to news and politics. I hope to open some eyes and change some opinions with my writings. Most of all, I hope you will read my words and be inspired to find the truth...and not rely on Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman or Katie Couric or Matt Lauer for your opinions. I hope you will break the mold and do something something that O-BOMB-A and Billary are afraid of you doing...
