The Obama Administration is off and running!
Running us into the ground, that its.
Obama is closing GitMo, hiring tax cheats, and trying to force working Americans into buying a $1 trillion...that is $1,000,000,000,000 or $1 million times $1 million or enough for every man, woman, and child to each receive a check for about $3000...spending package that does little for real job creation and little to encourage growth.
This 'stimulus' bill is nothing more than a big group of favors and paybacks for the last two national elections in 2006 and 2008. There is more pork in this one bill than you can imagine. Which is why Obama and the democrats are in such a hurry to pass it...the longer it sits, the more we learn.
Obama promised transparency, ethics, and change once he got into office. Obama was "the one." He was the man chosen from high above to come down and make America a better place. He was going to move America onto a better path.
The only thing that I can give credit for is the fact that those campaign lies were the only transparencies we are getting for the next four years.
There is not code of ethics in this administration. Ever since we learned about Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, Tony Rezko and the like, we have seen Obama surrounded by nothing but crooks, liars, and thieves. It seems everyone he works with is somehow a law-breaker and has some questionable morals, ethics, and decency. Bill Richardson had donor issues. Hillary Clinton is still stained with Whitewater, the Vernon Jordan murder, and the Marc Rich pardon, not to mention the "souvenirs" her and Bill bilked the American taxpayer out of in January of 2001. Tim Geithner is a tax cheat who will now run the IRS. Tom Daschle, the latest snafu, is also a tax cheat who will end up running the Commerce department.
I am sure any day now Michael Jackson will be appointed as the head of a new, national pre-school program. Followed by Britney Spears to be in charge of parenting. Perhaps Rod Blagojevic should be the new head of the FBI?
It is going to be a long 4 years. I sincerely hope that people start to realize the REAL problem.
We all started to see this economic crisis coming in mid-2007...just after the mid-term elections gave Democrats the House and Senate. Since the Dems have had the power, they have done nothing but preside over the largest jumps in energy costs in history, as well as the largest economic collapse since The Great Depression.
I guess this is the change we have been waiting for...

McCain...GET ON YOUR HORSE!!!
Well, Mr. McCain, you are officially tied with The One.
You've taken a few stiff jabs, clean jabs, at your opponent, the Liberal Messiah.
It is time to take the gloves off, fight, and go full steam ahead on your campiagn. Obama is calling you and your campaign racist without legitimacy, reason, or proof. We all know that the alphabet networks are in the tank for Obama...stop being cordial.
Mr. McCain, it is time for the Republicans to unite. It is time for us to find ourselves and reclaim the nation away from the grips of the leftist elites.
2008 was supposed to be a politically bloody year for the right. It was to be a year in which Liberalism could claim a victory and the fatality of Conservatism. Conservatism was supposed to be on life support in November, with the liberals pulling the plug and letting us starve to death like Terri Schiavo (Another liberal victory granted by judges legislating from the bench).
The McCain campaign, like the Conservative movement, was supposedly written off for dead. Both have a chance to make the comeback of a lifetime. However, the inkling of momentum Republicans have right now might be our only shot to get over the hump and on the way to a victory.
However, Mr. McCain is playing too nice. He is too clean. He is too politically correct. He is too cordial.
Obama is happier than a pig in the rut to tell America that he is black. Fellow liberal blacks will claim a vote against Obama is a vote for racism. We all know you are above that mess, Mr. McCain. Now is the time you hammer home the differences between you and Obama that matter.
The differences that matter between McCain and Obama are simple, fundamental, and easily exploited. It is time for McCain to fire at will and take every open shot he can.
Look at all the differences. Obama wants to tax anyone making money, other than him, to oblivion. Obama wants the government to take care of every single want, need, and desire for every American from womb to tomb. Obama wants the government to regulate and control every aspect of our lives. Obama has no faith in Americans, he truly believes the government knows how to better run the lives of everyday people. Obama wants to talk and have tea and crumpets with the leaders of terrorist nations. He wants to make diplomacy the way of American foreign policy. He wants to tell the enemy when we are leaving town, so they can rest and wait until it is open season in Iraq. Obama wants the oil companies to start cutting checks to Americans to help them with the cost of energy, as opposed to finding more supply to meet the demand.
McCain, you are totally different. Yet, you are not doing a strong enough job of convincing America of this. Your message is not out there nearly enough in strong enough language.
It is time for McCain to take the GOP by the horns and guide us into November. It is time for all Republicans to revert back to our tried and true methods of success. It is time to stop cow-towing to the left to keep them involved. It is time to leave them in our dust and do what is right for America and our future.
The latest debacle by the left in Congress should be the ultimate turning point in the 2008 election. It is up to the GOP to take advantage of what we have going for us right this minute.
Or, are we going to sit back and give away this election? Like in 2006?

GOP...WAKE UP!
There are so few people out there hammering this home. It is time for the Republicans and Conservative to take this election. The time is NOW!
Nancy Pellosi and Dingy Harry Reid called for the summer vacation and shut down congress. Not such a big deal in most years. However, most years do not see gas hovering near $4 a gallon.
The big problem is that Pellosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and also third in line behind George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, literally turned off the cameras, kicked out the press, and turned off the mics and lights in mid-session while Republican Representatives were trying to get an up-or-down vote on off-shore oil drilling.
Pellosi abused her position to avoid getting something positive done. She refused the chance to have the vote on a resolution that could set the groundwork to open up off-shore drilling.
In the two years since the Democrats have taken Congress, they have done NOTHING. They did give away billions of dollars in the tax rebate deal. We all loved that short-term, however, we will pay long-term.
The Dems have done NOTHING. They watched as oil climbed over 75% and did nothing to slow the skyrocketing costs of energy. They played games with war funding by trying to impose timelines and deadlines. They passed meaningless resolution after meaningless resolution that disagreed with President Bush's policies. They renamed post offices and bridges. They investigated baseball and football and pro wrestling.
Yet, Nancy Pellosi closed Congress for summer to avoid voting on a resolution that would only set groundwork for offshore drilling. Republicans were not asking for an immediate approval to start drilling. All Republicans wanted was to pass a resolution that set the idea in motion. In the busy schedule of softball interviews she had to get to, Pelosi just did not have time to try to ease the suffering of Americans at the pump, nor fend off the pending crisis this winter when Americans need heating oil.
Yet, there are not nearly enough Republicans in a all-out outrage over this situation. Pelosi just handed us Congress and the White House with this tactic. Are we ready to take back the leadership?
The next two months will tell. I hope we are. I truly hope Republicans get their heads out of the sand and start hammering the liberal twerps and take back Congress and the White House.

Foley is SICK...And the politics of Children's Safety.
Okay, so by now I am sure you have heard something about the Republican congressman that e-mailed or instant messaged a young male page. The content of those messages was rather explicit, on occasion, and definitely showed some inpropriety on the part of Foley.
Let me preface the following paragraphs with this bit of information. I have no problem with homosexual people. I do not in anyway support their lifestyle or their choice in partners, but, as a whole, as it pertains to the individual person, I do not hold ill will or other prejudice towards homosexuals. I would rather they choose the natural order of things and love the opposite sex, but I do not have that power. So, to be straight and clear, I do not hate or judge or discriminate against gays, lesbians, or homosexuals in general. I don't agree with their choices. That doesn't make me a bad person. I disagree with their opinions on certain issues.
So, that being said, I want to say that I think Foley is sick for abusing his position of power to coerce a teenage boy into a homosexual relationship. The whole story is sick and dispicable. His solicitation of a homosexual relationship from a young boy is wrong on every level. I think Foley is sick and I am glad he resigned. If he committed any crime, throw him in jail! Throw away the key.
Now, what is almost as bad as Foley is the liberal left's handling of the situation. A group funded by billionaire liberal whacko George Soros had the incriminating documents as early as April of this year. Instead of turning it over to authorities immediately, they held it until we are just over 1 month from election time. Makes sense, right? Use a scandal to regain the House and Senate.
Why not?
I will tell you why not. I will also tell you why our country cannot afford to allow this tactic to work.
First, this evidence was not just some incriminating documents...this was proof of a child/sexual predator. So, they held evidence that could stop one young man from being taken advantage of, and possible prevent future abuses, for political gain. Makes you wonder what they would NOT have hidden. Is there any level at which the left will not hide evidence until it suits their needs?
Its scary to think what they might cover up until it is politically beneficial, no matter how much suffering and pain and criminal activity may ensue by their irresponsibility. Do you think that information that could prevent a terrorist attack would be immune from being held up if the liberals thought it could help their cause?
Second, the liberals are always trumpeting their support of gay rights and NAMBLA and such. Yet, they don't care to throw gays under the bus when they think they can step on them to move forward. The democrats are threatening to out gay republicans and go after any gay person to hurt the rebulicans as we go toward the election. Their hypocrisy is scary.
I really think that anyone who held documents that incriminated Foley should be arrested for obstruction of justice.
I hope the voters can see the truth through the smoke screen of the left and the liberal media. I hope they don't give the power of the US Congress to a bunch of cut-and-run, never-get-the-job-done, raise-your-taxes, throw-gays-and-minorities-and-anyone-we-choose-under-the-bus-when-it-suits-our-needs liberals.
Then again, there is only so long that the loud, obnoxious screams of the liberal media and Hollywood will stay ineffective. Perhaps this November will be painful for the Conservative cause...and only the new media of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will point out the obvious problems with this situation.

Party Of Obstruction
Well, gee, I thought the caped crusaders led by McCain and company settled all this with their "Compromise" with the democrats. I thought that the democrats and republicans eased tensions with the Magnificent Seven. I thought we could get things moving...
NOT!!
Instead, McCain and company sold out their party to the enemy. They are the enemy because the Republicans gave an inch, and now they are forcing that inch to be closer to a mile. Thank you McCain and Co. for selling out your party and in essence, taking away the momentum and power that the Republicans earned as a result of the past two elections.
Now, President Bush has to do one of two things. Either wait until Congress recesses for the summer and give Bolton the nomination to the UN at that point (which democrats and the liberal media are salivating for so they can once again try to paint a LEADER as a rogue president trying to force his agenda on the US and world). OR...President Bush must find a "suitable" nomination for the US ambassador to the UN. (I am guessing Jon Stewart or Michael Moore would be suitable by these liberals' standards.)
I would give the democrats some benefit of doubt if they would simply explain WHY they are being so obstructionist. I know why....but I want to hear legit excuses instead of "we don't know enough about him" or "he just isn't right." Come on. Seriously.
Bolton, like the many judicial nominees that the obstructionists filibustered and blocked from their rightful appointments, has only one fault...one reason for being held up in congress. That reason: they were nominated by George Bush.
It is the goal, pledge, solemn vow of the liberals in congress to drag their feet and slow progress as much as possible for the next four years. They want things to move so slowly Bush will not complete his agenda. They think that soundbites played over and over about a rogue president with a conservative agenda that will destroy America will back them up in their quest to halt the progress of the country.
The problem is, as far as liberals are concerned, the majority of voters in the United States aren't as dumb and dependant on the liberals in power as they'd like. The people who vote are clear thinking and actually think for themselves and do not let Michael Moore, Jon Stewart, Dan Blather, or the like determine their thoughts, feelings, and voting preference.
Unfortunately, it is still 18 months until we see the effects of the 2006 mid-terms. However, I do think there will be a lot of changes in that election. Incumbent seats may be lost on both sides. I think the Magnificent Seven may see some members sent home...and I think, overall, the Republicans will pick up more seats and run the Howard Deans and the like out of Washington.
However, we must remain on our toes. Hillary has been fairly quiet and out of a lot of the picture lately. Dean may be a planned patsy for the democrats....send Dean, Richard Durbin and the other loud mouths who are berating Bush, the war, and our troops....send them all out to get the soundbites so when Hillary runs, she'll end up looking like a moderate. Mark my words. She and the democrats are painting a portrait in which she will be looked at as moderate. God help us if people buy that story.

About Me...And This Blog Site...
My name is David A. Ebert, the oldest of two siblings produced by my parents, Leah and David G. Ebert. We are all Republicans, but I take it a toke or two...well, closer to 10 tokes...further than my parents,
I am very much a Right Wing Conservative. I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe Americans, in general, are smarter than elected officials in Washington, DC. We should be more in charge than the Government.
We, as individuals and families, should have more responsibility over our own, hard-earned money and not send more and more and more taxes to the out-of-touch politicians. I believe the government is there to serve us, and not us to serve them.
I believe in America's greatness and that, overall, we are the most generous, forgiving, intelligent, and genuinely decent country in the world. I also believe that we are the most powerful nation in the history of the world, but do not use that power to hold over the collective heads of other nations.
I believe that low taxes, intelligent spending of those tax revenues, strong initiatives on defense and education, and small government influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans are some of the most important ideals related to how the US should be operated.I believe in the freedoms granted by the US Constitution. I believe that judges should uphold and interpret the laws as written in the US Constitution, and not refer to any foreign legislation to make their historic decisions.
I believe the First Amendment, as well as the entire Bill of Rights, are the most important laws this world has ever seen.
I believe abortion is WRONG. I believe that homosexuality is WRONG. I believe that allowing anyone to publicly debate the possibility of lowering the age of consent, especially for young boys to consent to older men, is a tragedy of morality. I believe that organizations like NAMBLA should be publicly shunned and not given a platform to spew their harmful and dangerous rhetoric.
I believe there is a sad lacking in the ability of our nation to appreciate and accept self responsibility. We, as a nation, blame daddy, racism, sexism, classism, mommy, the mean teacher, the mean little league coach, the loud mouthed uncle, the financial status of the neighborhood in which we grew up in, and a million and one other reasons why we do not succeed. How often do we, as a nation, take the blame for our own mistakes? How often do you hear someone accept responsibility for their own mistakes? How often?
I am conservative. I am worried about the future of the country and the planet, especially if O-BOMB-A or Billary Clinton make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I will start posting my fears, my hopes, my ideas as they all relate to news and politics. I hope to open some eyes and change some opinions with my writings. Most of all, I hope you will read my words and be inspired to find the truth...and not rely on Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman or Katie Couric or Matt Lauer for your opinions. I hope you will break the mold and do something unreal...unexpected...do something that O-BOMB-A and Billary are afraid of you doing...
