European Socialism Spending Bill of 2009

Are you serious?

We are in a dire financial crisis, and the only answer we can come up with is this $800+ billion package?

This is an 'emergency' stimulus package, but the spending involved is chock-full of spending and pet projects, with little to no truly stimulating effects.

The only stimulation is the fact that the American taxpayer will be getting screwed by this bill for generations. Our grandchildren's butts will be aching if this goes through.

Where is the outrage? Why is the vast majority of Americans grabbing the ankles and smiling while chanting, "Change we can believe in!"?

Obama takes the podium to whine and complain about the massive debt and deficit that he found "wrapped in a giant red bow waiting for me in the Oval Office." Yet, all he does is push and cram down our throats this pork-saturated travesty.

There are billions of dollars in new spending in this bill. There are amendments that call for restabalizing of ATV trails. There is spending to modernize hospitals. There is spending to restore government buildings. There is funding to purchase hybrid vehicles for government fleets. There are whines and cries that Republicans do not want to spend $400 million on STD prevention. HOW IS THAT ECONOMIC STIMULUS???? These are the purchases and expendiatures that Obama is saying are necessary, or else we will go into a permanent, irreversible financial collapse?

They said Bush was a fear monger. But he talked about the need to fight and find and kill terrorists before they killed Americans. He talked about strategy to prevent crisis through logical means. He was not saying we need to spend $600 million on new hybrids or else our economy will be forever destroyed.

If we don't spend $1 trillion on a bunch of Democrats' pet projects, our economy will die. That is the message we are getting from Obama and his stuttering press secretary. (PLEASE NOTE: I have nothing against people who stutter or stammer, I am merely pointing out the fact that the mouthpiece...the very spokesman...for the Obama Administration falls into stammers and stutters and misspeaks the second he gets a direct question).

I hope Americans, especially those blinded-by-the-light, kool-aid drinking, worship at the altar of the lord god Obama Democrats, will take a step back and think. Why is there such a rush and panic to spend this money?

Why is there a rage anytime a piece of this bill is questioned? Why is the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party so infuriated that there is a call for some responsibility with this spending bill?

Sometimes you have to get a feeling like you are buying a used car from the slickest, smoothest-talking used car salesman in the world.

"No, its a beauty, isn't it? Sign it now, and you can look at this thing when you get it home. Go ahead, sign the papers now so you can get it. Otherwise, the other customer might come back and steal it from you. No, you don't need to think about it. No, you don't need to look under the hood. No, you don't need a CarFax. Come on, sign it. If you don't sign it now, you could lose this car, and this car is perfect for you. Come on, sign these papers. No, you know you want the car, no questions asked, right?"

Would you sign the papers for that car?

Then why do you sign on for this crazy, tragic, destructive bill?

This is NOT a stimulus bill...it is a welfare spending bill. It is a vote-buying bill full of earmarks and favors. There are so few jobs that this bill will creat. Please, for the sake of our country, do your own research. Find out what is in this bill for yourself.

Then, just remind yourself who has been in power in the governing body that creates budgets and spending since early 2007...and remember this as we approach the mid-terms in 2010. Remember that this is a primarily Democrat-created bill. Only 3 Republicans have signed on to this stimulus package.

About Me...And This Blog Site...

My name is David A. Ebert, the oldest of two siblings produced by my parents, Leah and David G. Ebert. We are all Republicans, but I take it a toke or two...well, closer to 10 tokes...further than my parents,

I am very much a Right Wing Conservative. I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe Americans, in general, are smarter than elected officials in Washington, DC. We should be more in charge than the Government.

We, as individuals and families, should have more responsibility over our own, hard-earned money and not send more and more and more taxes to the out-of-touch politicians. I believe the government is there to serve us, and not us to serve them.

I believe in America's greatness and that, overall, we are the most generous, forgiving, intelligent, and genuinely decent country in the world. I also believe that we are the most powerful nation in the history of the world, but do not use that power to hold over the collective heads of other nations.

I believe that low taxes, intelligent spending of those tax revenues, strong initiatives on defense and education, and small government influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans are some of the most important ideals related to how the US should be operated.I believe in the freedoms granted by the US Constitution. I believe that judges should uphold and interpret the laws as written in the US Constitution, and not refer to any foreign legislation to make their historic decisions.

I believe the First Amendment, as well as the entire Bill of Rights, are the most important laws this world has ever seen.

I believe abortion is WRONG. I believe that homosexuality is WRONG. I believe that allowing anyone to publicly debate the possibility of lowering the age of consent, especially for young boys to consent to older men, is a tragedy of morality. I believe that organizations like NAMBLA should be publicly shunned and not given a platform to spew their harmful and dangerous rhetoric.

I believe there is a sad lacking in the ability of our nation to appreciate and accept self responsibility. We, as a nation, blame daddy, racism, sexism, classism, mommy, the mean teacher, the mean little league coach, the loud mouthed uncle, the financial status of the neighborhood in which we grew up in, and a million and one other reasons why we do not succeed. How often do we, as a nation, take the blame for our own mistakes? How often do you hear someone accept responsibility for their own mistakes? How often?

I am conservative. I am worried about the future of the country and the planet, especially if O-BOMB-A or Billary Clinton make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I will start posting my fears, my hopes, my ideas as they all relate to news and politics. I hope to open some eyes and change some opinions with my writings. Most of all, I hope you will read my words and be inspired to find the truth...and not rely on Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman or Katie Couric or Matt Lauer for your opinions. I hope you will break the mold and do something unreal...unexpected...do something that O-BOMB-A and Billary are afraid of you doing...

THINK FOR YOURSELF.
