Ok, maybe I am a little bit over the top and a little passionate about what I think and feel. For those that accuse me of going with the Rush-Hannity-Coulter-etc. talking points, I only want to say that at least our talking points aren't made up...we use something that is called fact.
I think the courts today are out of control. There are no checks and balances between the legislative and judicial or executive and judicial. The judicial has been allowed to take control with no way to control it. Judges today are allowed to be above the law of the land, above the legislative branch, above even the president.
When the US Congress passes a piece of legislation that allows the courts one final opportunity to review a case of life and death importance, and those courts refuse that opportunity, while at the same time taking 14 hours to create a 13 page document that takes cheap shots and swipes at the people concerned about the case, the Congress, and the President...14 hours that could have been used to actually review the case and save a life...then that judiciary needs to be reassessed.
There is nothing wrong with reassessing and, possibly, revamping our legal system. That is the beauty of our country's constitution...there is room for error and room to correct those errors.
I want those errors corrected. I want a judiciary that answers to someone. I want a judiciary that interprets the law according to the law and not their own beliefs. I want a judiciary that won't give a multi-million dollar settlement to a criminal who was injured while breaking into someone's home. I want a judiciary that will use the law to protect the innocent and condemn the guilty. I want a judiciary that rules on case-by-case basis and not blanket solutions. I want a judiciary that has a touch of humanity and humility.
I think I am not alone on that.

OK...NOW They have done it...
OK...darn it. I was going to be nice this week. Just the two posts from early...but they HAD to do it. The libbies HAD to tick me off today. ITS MONDAY AND I AM ALREADY SMACKING MY FOREHEAD IN DISBELIEF.
If you haven't heard, according to the liberal fanatic hollywood judges of the 9th Circus Court have now ruled that a man's threats about the PRESIDENT's life are...ok, are you sitting down? Are you calm? Take a xanax or go get a stiff drink real quick before you read the rest....ok...I warned you.
According to these judges, this man's threats and remarks about taking the president's life are PROTECTED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT and ARE FREE SPEECH!!!
WHAT???
This opens a pandora's box of crap. So...where do we go? (As libs roll their eyes and claim I am making up a slippery slope and it won't get this far. YEAH. Tell that to the Schindlers who won't have a gravesite to memorialize their daughter thanks to your judges.)
Ok, before I rant, let me give you the link. Read the story...then get back to me. You might want to print this Fox News story and save it without reading it. Save it for when you are constipated because you will sh*t. (Pardon my French...)
Ok...link: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,152934,00.html
Rant is on.......
Ok, so, a nut job now has the green light, under the US Constitution, so sayeth the infallable men with the robes and gavels, to threaten the president and make remarks about killing the President.
Wow. Only if you have a shred of intelligence and some sort of conservative fiber in you can you see what doors these monkeys have opened.
So, now, since the courts previously granted the terrorists at GitMo access to US Federal courts...something I am still scratching my head over (give them access to the courts...let them inside our borders...hell, no security or safety problems there, are they?)...these terrorists, who would strap bisquick and gasoline to their chest to blow up the same courts that could free them, can now use this federal court ruling to their advantage. Why, if they have a right to seek justice in a federal court, they are then protected by the federal court, which means they, too, can write correspondence that threatens the life of George Bush and they cannot be charged with a crime because these liberal @$$holes have now given them access to OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!
Good LORD. Can't you see it now? GitMo detainees...who are TERRORISTS just like Yassir Arafat, despite the liberal portrayal of him as some elder respected statesman...now can write correspondence that includes threatening messages about our president and they cannot be punished.
There is much more to this...Liberal judges are actually TRYING TO MAKE IT EASIER TO KILL BUSH. Do you see it?
Damn the courts...damn liberal judges who think they are the law and are also above it.

Johnnie Cochran Funeral
The funeral of Johnnie Cochran was held in Los Angeles yesterday.
Attending were more free criminals than four seasons worth of The Sopranos.
OJ Simpson gave a eulogy. A convicted murderer who was freed on a technicality spoke and received a standing ovation for his comments about "the brothers and sisters" still in jail, as if no African-American is guilty and being held by "The Man."
Cochran spent his entire adult life fighting for the beliefs of the left and the freedoms of the guilty. His spectacle of a trial defense in 1995 freed a murderer. His work in the 70's and 80's freed a former Black Panther Party leader who was convicted of murder.
Cochran, while I hate to insult the dead, provided little or nothing to better our country or world. He constantly got on his high horse to attack police at every turn. You wonder why cops are less and less polite and courteous? Simply look at the BS cases Cochran fought and won. He took every chance he could to publicly berate, embarrass, and insult the work of the police at large.
He even rode his high horse into Mercer County, WV, to defend a violent, well-known drug dealer. The cops were outnumbered by the thugs interested in causing trouble late one night at a bar. Cops came to break up the commotion, this young punk resisted, a scuffle ensued, and in the confusion and scrum, the kid fell and injured his neck. He ended up paralyzed and Johnnie Cochran took the case...and the notoriety...to use this case as another forum to bash the police.
Yeah he defended Reginald Denny, the truck driver who was brutally attacked by thugs during the LA riots. However, instead of fighting against the coward scum that threw the brick into Denny's temple, Cochran sues the COPS for not doing their jobs properly.
While people mourn his passing, and rightfully so, I cannot tell you I respect the work he left behind. The families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown cannot either.

Terri Schiavo Case
Terri Schiavo collage from http://www.terrisfight.org
Well, what in the world would life be like without irony and unbelievable coincidences?
First, I will let you know that I, like many people, am still fuming over the murder of Terri Schiavo. Her death was unnecessary and cruel. If I had a very old dog and decided that this very old dog (suffering from blindness, arthritis, doggy Alzheimer's, bathroom control issues, and other old-dog ailments) did not want to live this way and I starved him to death, I would be thrown in jail, my house would be burned to the ground by PETA, I would be compared to Stalin and Hitler, I would be made to be the most heartless, evil human on the planet.
Yet, Judge George I AM THE LAW!!! Greer, Michael Schiavo, and Schiavo's Euthanasia-Activist Lawyer George Felos are allowed to starve a healthy woman to death right in front of the world. A woman who, had she been given the proper testing (in 15 years she received NO MRI or PET Scan...two tests that would have proven her level of mental well-being) and then the proper rehabilitation and therapy, could very well have led a respectable life. Instead, she was forced to lie trapped inside a body that only needed some rewiring. Stuck inside her shell, she suffered for over a decade the injustice of being denied the help she needed, while being told by her husband, as stated in sworn affidavits by nurses who treated Terri, that he wanted her to die. She fought valiantly, but we, as a nation ruled by unruly judges, failed her.
However, Terri Schiavo's legacy will not end with her death and cremation. Her tragedy will soon become a nightmare for those who fought to kill her. I believe she will reach from the grave and help this country fix what is wrong. I also think that this week is not lacking at all in coincidence and irony.
Coincidence? Consider the fact that for a woman who had wanted to die (a fact attested to by her husband SEVEN YEARS after she fell ill, and no time sooner), Terri Schiavo fought valiantly to live. She lasted 2 weeks without food or water. Her fight bought her family time to ask the courts, and our nation, to come through for her...one last chance for redemption. She died shortly after the final rejection. Seems odd that she hung on that long, then when she received the news of the latest rejection, she declined fast and left the prison that was her body.
Coincidence? Isn't it odd that Michael Schiavo, George Felos, and Judge I AM THE LAW Greer all have legitimate connections to the hospice in which Terri was murdered? Hmm. They are all on the board for that hospice. Add to that the fact that Felos is an advocate of EUTHANASIA...the practice of killing off people who no longer serve a defined purpose...Felos wrote a book once in which he described his fantasies of bludgeoning his ex-wife to death. And, Felos is also the creepy scum that purported on nationwide airwaves that "Terri has never looked more beautiful and at peace." This coming from a man who supports euthanasia...to me it sounded like Charles Manson admiring his work. In a way it was.
Irony? Isn't it ironic that the leader of the faith to which Terri Schiavo belonged fell ill and is using a feeding tube this week? That's right. Terri was Catholic. A devout Catholic. So, why would a Catholic go against the word of Pope John Paul II and want to be starved to death? The Pope has stated that "extraordinary measures" to sustain life (i.e. life support machines that perform the duties of failed organs like the heart, lungs, kidneys, and even the brain) could be pulled. Partly because the machines are keeping the person alive, and partly because pulling the plug on life support ends a life in minutes...pulling a feeding tube lasts as much as two weeks. The Pope is fighting for his life and is relying on a feeding tube to make life easier. Food and water through a tube are NOT "extraordinary measures."
To me, it seems as if Terri Schiavo, despite the assertions of the ACLU, or, as I call them, the Anti Christ Loyalist Unit, had absolutely no rights, no considerations in her death. Her freedom of religion was denied and stepped on. As her Catholic faith would have shown, she would not want to be starved to death. She would have wanted to be tested and treated properly and given a chance to live. The only thing that killed her was dehydration and starvation. Her brain was functioning enough to where she could respond to family, her involuntary functions were working, her (kind of gross, but important) bowel movements were controlled to a certain extent meaning she went when there were people there to care for her and not anytime her body needed to go.
There is so much more to Terri's murder that will be explored over the weeks, months, and years to come. I hope you will take the time to pray for her, her family, and the many people now left vulnerable to being euthanized because of the precedents set by this historic situation. Also, pray for all of us, for everyone is to blame since we did nothing to prevent this and nothing to stop the out-of-control judiciary that sponsored this murder. Her blood is on our hands...our salvation comes from preventing further innocent slaughter.

About Me...And This Blog Site...
My name is David A. Ebert, the oldest of two siblings produced by my parents, Leah and David G. Ebert. We are all Republicans, but I take it a toke or two...well, closer to 10 tokes...further than my parents,
I am very much a Right Wing Conservative. I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe Americans, in general, are smarter than elected officials in Washington, DC. We should be more in charge than the Government.
We, as individuals and families, should have more responsibility over our own, hard-earned money and not send more and more and more taxes to the out-of-touch politicians. I believe the government is there to serve us, and not us to serve them.
I believe in America's greatness and that, overall, we are the most generous, forgiving, intelligent, and genuinely decent country in the world. I also believe that we are the most powerful nation in the history of the world, but do not use that power to hold over the collective heads of other nations.
I believe that low taxes, intelligent spending of those tax revenues, strong initiatives on defense and education, and small government influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans are some of the most important ideals related to how the US should be operated.I believe in the freedoms granted by the US Constitution. I believe that judges should uphold and interpret the laws as written in the US Constitution, and not refer to any foreign legislation to make their historic decisions.
I believe the First Amendment, as well as the entire Bill of Rights, are the most important laws this world has ever seen.
I believe abortion is WRONG. I believe that homosexuality is WRONG. I believe that allowing anyone to publicly debate the possibility of lowering the age of consent, especially for young boys to consent to older men, is a tragedy of morality. I believe that organizations like NAMBLA should be publicly shunned and not given a platform to spew their harmful and dangerous rhetoric.
I believe there is a sad lacking in the ability of our nation to appreciate and accept self responsibility. We, as a nation, blame daddy, racism, sexism, classism, mommy, the mean teacher, the mean little league coach, the loud mouthed uncle, the financial status of the neighborhood in which we grew up in, and a million and one other reasons why we do not succeed. How often do we, as a nation, take the blame for our own mistakes? How often do you hear someone accept responsibility for their own mistakes? How often?
I am conservative. I am worried about the future of the country and the planet, especially if O-BOMB-A or Billary Clinton make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I will start posting my fears, my hopes, my ideas as they all relate to news and politics. I hope to open some eyes and change some opinions with my writings. Most of all, I hope you will read my words and be inspired to find the truth...and not rely on Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman or Katie Couric or Matt Lauer for your opinions. I hope you will break the mold and do something unreal...unexpected...do something that O-BOMB-A and Billary are afraid of you doing...
