Imagine...

Imagine...
Going to work and sitting at your desk, upset the boss just passed you up for a promotion. You're gonna have to stay late today and miss your daughter's dance recital. Suddenly, you are thrown five city blocks in the air. You never knew what hit you.

Imagine...
Sitting in your office and you are in complete disbelief. You cannot leave your building. The skyscraper you are in is on fire. The building is shaking. Word you are getting is that the stairs and elevators are all blocked with fired and debris. The heat is building. There is no escape. There will be no rescue. Do you wait to die? Or do you jump. You see others pass your window. You ask God's forgiveness as you take control of the one thing left in your power.

Imagine...
Storming to your cubicle. You had just had a major fight with your husband. You both said some mean, hurtful things. You sit in your ergonomic chair and silently, deep in your mind and soul, you take minor comfort knowing that you guys will be able to kiss and make up at 5:30 tonight at dinner. A flash of light and glass, your life is over.

Imagine...
Running the halls of the Pentagon to an important meeting. Something is developing in New York City that is going to have a drastic impact on National Security. You stumble on the loose corner of a rug, you curse the rug, look up as the wall to your right crushes your body. The last thing you smell is burning wood and scorched concrete.

Imagine...
Waking up, trying to regain your bearings. A second ago, you were at the watercooler talking about the new college football season. You think Florida State is going to make a run at it, but your buddy said his money was on USC. Now, the room is dark. Your buddy isn't anywhere in sight. You realize people are beating you with coats and pillows. You then realize the pain coming from your back and arms. You are covered in flaming jet fuel. You scream in pain before you fall into shock, then die.

Imagine...
Responding to the mass confusion of two planes flying into the World Trade Center. There are no elevators. No word on the conditions of the stairwells. All you want to do is get to the fires and help the people. You grab your 80 pounds of gear and climb the 80 flights of stairs...1 grueling flight per minute. You hear another series of explosions. Has another plane hit?! You never hear the answer as the floor above you lands on your skull.

Imagine...
Trying to organize batallions and companies of firefighters from the ground. These men are your responsibility. You send them up the towering inferno. The first tower collapses, you dive into a stairwell. When the dust starts to clear, a man who is a friend and the chaplain to the entire fire department lies next to you, dead.

Imagine...
Sitting on a flight to the west coast. Suddenly, men have taken over the plane. They have killed one person with a boxcutter. They have taken the cockpit and are now flying the plane to a new destination, or, more appropriately, target. You and others get in contact with people on the ground. This plane, appearantly, is the fourth in a targeted attack on America and innocent civilians. You don't know of the horrors of people burning alive in the Twin Towers...You only know what the inevitable has now become, and what you must do about it. You follow the lead of four men, one of whom yells, "Let's Roll." A short fight occurs in the cockpit. The plane loses control, turns over, and crashes into the ground. You knew going into the cockpit, these murderous scum had already determined that you and everyone else was going to die. So, you and the others aboard determined the how and when and took back some control.

Imagine...
That you had been in the Twin Towers or the Pentagon or Flight 93. That your life was taken by murderous, evil scum of the Earth that took part in killing 3000+ innocent civilians. Imagine that you were taken in an instant, without chance to say sorry for your wrongs, to make up for the mistakes you made with loved ones, or to just meet your life's potential. Imagine, even worse, you suffered and died in the fires and smoke in the aftermath of the plane crashes. You felt your flesh melt under the heat of the jet fuel. Imagine the pain and shock of knowing you were going to die and there was nothing you could do. Imagine the horrors of 9/11/01, and you were destined to become one of the many faces on the memorial walls dedicated to the victims of the attacks.

Imagine...

Now, Imagine...
A large, loud-mouth portion of the country takes your death and uses it for political gain. They accuse the President of knowing and covering up the fact that the US Government knew, and quite possibly took part in, the acts that killed you.

Imagine...
An entire political party wants to give the same people that helped planned the attacks access to US Courts and the US Constitution. From the new President through both houses of Congress, there are those that want to offer full rights and privileges to the same group of people who trained to kill you. That the new President wants to move the terrorist scum from an off-shore military base to on-shore, US federal prisons, with full access to legal representation, full Miranda Rights, and full Constitutional protection.

Imagine...
The new President and his party attacking and distracting the efforts of intelligence agencies on a daily basis. That party uses the newspapers to discredit and attack these intelligence agencies for scaring or causing discomfort to people that have information that could be used to save more people from your fate.

Imagine...
A President and his party requiring US Soldiers to hesitate everytime they arrest or even engage with an enemy. Instead of trying to protect themselves from dying on the battlefield, they have to worry about what a Democratic senator will say about them if they kill an enemy. They have to worry about some politician calling for a full trial if you kill someone who poses a threat. They have to offer Miranda Rights to terrorists they capture on the battlefield.

Imagine...
The new President refusing to call the groups that are responsible for your death "terrorists." And he doesn't call it a "war on terror," but some sort of contingency plan. The new President apologizes to unfriendly nations for how America defended itself.

Imagine...
Eight years after your death, your death is memorialized by the new President as a call to community service. Instead of calling for a restrengthening of our pursuit of Bin Laden and al Qeada and preventing more terrorist attacks on US soil, the President says America should go out and pick up litter on the highway or other such community service. He in effect dismisses your sacrifice and your murder by saying 9-11 is a day of service.

Imagine...
You are looking down on the current administration and the party in power. Are you feeling forgotten? Are you feeling disgraced? Do you think you and the 3000 other men, women, and children who died on 9-11-01 are being memorialized appropriately and with respect?

Remembering 9/11 Eight Years Later...

There are still empty chairs at the breakfast and dinner tables.

There is still a gaping hole in Manhattan, and in so many hearts and souls in America.

We are still healing.

In our healing, we have become divided. We have let the power-hungry manipulate us into buying their snake oils and their magic youth formulas. We have let the government group us into small categories and let the opposing side rip us to shreds for our beliefs.

We are a divided nation. The more divided we become, the more hatred and vitriol we share for our own people, the more the murderous bastards have won. They are winning the psychological battle against America because we let politics and personal agendas take over. We let them win because we refused to tell the people we elected to, "Shut the hell up!," and kick them out of office. We let our own government divide us.

On September 11, 2001, we stood in horror...in anger...in shock. On September 12, 2001, we got down on our knees as a nation and asked God for the strength and wisdom to deliver justice. That same day, we, as a nation, got off our knees, dusted ourselves off, and got to work. We united as a country to do everything we could to prevent this attack from repeating itself. We were the UNITED States of America, a nation determined to right the wrongs of the immoral attacks inflicted on innocent civilians.

For six weeks, Old Glory flew high on every home, on every street, in every city, town, or suburb in America. We weren't straight or gay, black or white, rich or poor, left or right...We were AMERICANS. For six weeks we were the greatest nation on Earth, full of angry, hurt, and fortified Americans. For those six weeks, the terrorists had lost the psychological battle though they had won the physical battle at that point.

Here we are, eight years later. Gaping holes still within the hearts of so many people who lost so much in 100 minutes on a gorgeous September Tuesday morning. The hole in Manhattan is still open, like a nagging injury that still hasn't healed. And there is a gaping hole in the hearts, minds, and souls of Americans.

For six weeks, we were unified, together, and we were brothers with one creed and one loyalty. What happened? Why did we stop caring about the nation and the future? Why did we decide that our needs here and now were most important?

Now, we are 600 million strangers with our own agendas. We let the mouthpieces in Washington divide us on a daily basis. It is a sad way to pay tribute to the people on Flight 93, the men and women in the Twin Towers and The Pentagon, and the brave firefighters and police officers who perished on that terrible morning. We have disgraced them. Their sacrifice has gone in vain...

But it doesn't have to be that way.

If you will take a pledge to read the US Constitution, then read the Declaration of Independence, then read Thomas Paine's Common Sense, and then look with pride at the red, white, and blue American flag, and then look at the people on your left and your right, and look at them as your brothers and sisters in the struggle of being American...if you will do all those things, then remember how you felt on 9/11/01 at around 11am, then we will be better off. If we will remember what it is that makes America great, and remember that despite her faults, America IS a great nation, we can turn it around.

America IS a great nation. If you don't believe that, France is wide open. Buy a one-way ticket. Enjoy the riots. It is time we started remembering that we are in a great nation. We are free people. We need to appreciate the freedoms we have, and, more importantly, remember and thank the people who protect those freedoms and rights. It is time to cut out the petty garbage and grow the hell up. It is time to appreciate what we have.

Today, on 9-11-09, it is time to remember. Remember everything. Remember Todd Beamer. Remember the firemen who ran up the stairwells of the Twin Towers, but never came out. Remember the empty chairs that so many families will witness at dinner tonight. Remember what America stands for and forget the garbage and politics. There is one thing we can do to honor the men and women who suffered and died on 9-11. We must re-unite and become a strong nation. Stop pointing fingers and stop blaming Bush or Obama or whomever. Do your part.

Honor and remember the freedom fighters who died eight years ago today. Let's unite as Americans PERMANENTLY.

Where is Ronald Reagan? We need him more than ever...

Traversing the expansive volumes of videos uploaded on YouTube.com, I decided to see what the libraries had to offer in regards to a man that, in my opinion, and that of many Conservatives, served his country with more class, nobility, passion, and love of country than any other President in history.

I am talking of one Ronald Wilson Reagan.

The former actor turned Governor of California turned American Icon and President.

Conservatives didn't use slanted media propaganda to elect Reagan. Americans did not turn onto supposed journalists to hear them claim to have "tingly" feelings going up his leg when the name of the man was mentioned. We did not need our President to go and have a Beatle-mania reception in Germany for him to seem just popular enough to elect.

President Ronald Reagan depended only on his desire to serve. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and that heart bled red, white, and blue. Reagan loved his country and his greatest desire, other than spending his life with the only being he loved more than America, and a near tie with God Almighty Himself, Nancy, was to leave America better than he and his generation found it.

Reagan spoke with a pure, unadulterated love; a deep, inspiring love of country. His word were his own, mostly, definitely more than most presidents. He did not use his position and podium to bash, attack, or smear political adversaries. He simply spoke of the American dream, the future of the country, and the betterment of America and Americans.

We don't get that today. We haven't had that for a while. President George W. Bush was a let down in that regard in his lame duck years. He drifted left at the end, seemingly beaten down by political adversaries that attacked relentlessly everything he did for 6 1/2 years. If he sneezed, it was too loud. He coughed, the didn't properly use and dispose of a tissue. He spent less than $10 million on putting together his second inaugural, and he was brutally assaulted for wastine money (although Obama didn't really get much grief for his $150 million bash....hmmm).

President Barack Obama does not speak a positive word in the way Reagan did. Obama, who usually speaks negatively about anything and everything nowadays, does speak of hope and change, but he does not love his country the way Reagan did. President Clinton was the same way. When Democrats speak about America, they do not have the same emotionally-charged, deep-seeded, heart-breaking love and adoration of our country.

Please watch this video that I borrowed from YouTube.com. Listen and watch the eyes of President Reagan, and then ask yourself if you can match that enthusiasm and love for America. Can you?

Did you cry for the people on 9-11? Did you bounce between anger, rage, and uncontrollable sobbing for the people and for the fact that your country...your home...was just sucker-punched? Did you get pissed off that 3,000 of your American brothers and sisters were murdered?

Are you still pissed off about 9-11?

Are you pissed that Russia and Germany not loyally supporting our War on Terror, despite the billions in aide they recieve?

Are you heart-broken over the shape our country has taken?

Are you upset that judicial activism is ursurping the powers of the Executive and Legislative branches? That the Supreme Court has manipulated and successfully destroyed the functionality of the Checks and Balances?

Do you love America? Do you love freedom? Do you believe in the innate goodness of the American spirit and people?

If you have doubts, watch this video. Watch more Reagan YouTube.com videos. See if you are inspired. If you open your mind and heart, I am sure you will.

War! What is it good for?...

Let me tell you a story about sacrifice, terror, honor, pride, and the righting of wrongs.

On a bright, sunny morning, while the world was just barely waking up, terror in the skies came barrelling down on America.

Buildings fell, humans burned and died in the horrible attacks.

We were hit by a small country, part of the Axis of Evil. They struck us fast, hard, and by suprise. We had people who might have seen it coming, but predicting the day time and location of the attacks was nearly impossible.

Immediately after the slaughter of American lives, we went to action. We went after the country that hit us. We bombed the crap out of them and paid them back. Death and war is never pleasant, but this was revenge. They had awaken a dangerous, powerful beast that was lulled to sleep by peace and its own power. We went to work to kick their hind parts into oblivion.

Then, we also went to work on an ally who had similar intentions for us. While they had not directly attacked us, we knew they were coming and we had to stop all of this evil force at once. We were hit hard by their little buddy, and we were sure as we could that we needed to stop everyone who had destruction and violence planned against us and our people.

We beat the two countries into submission. We defeated the evil powers. Then, we went to work rebuilding the same countries. In time, they became as strong, if not stronger, in many areas than the United States.

We are a powerful country who reacted to a swift and painful blow to push evil back and out of power. We restored the people of those countries to power and helped them prevent future dictatorships from returning.

Now, as you read the above, today, the somber anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, were you thinking of World War II...or the current War on Terror? Whenever you want to trash our country for going into Iraq, remember: Germany never attacked us, either.

We are a great country. We have the greatest military. Our troops are excellent. They always have been. They always deserve our support.

Mumbai Terrorist Attacks

The country of India suffered through and extraordinary ordeal with the attacks on several tourist attractions. The financial district of Mumbai was the central location of the attacks, as it appeared as though the terrorists were targeting American and British tourists and the attractions and hotels frequented by them.

Americans, Brits, and many other people lost their lives in the terrible attacks. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones, and also to the people who narrowly escaped with their lives, as their lives will never be the same.

Sadly, I think this might be the beginning of a long sequence of attacks by Al Queada led or inspired groups. For seven years, America has stood strong against Al Queada and terrorism. We have snuffed it out at every opportunity. However, the 2008 election cycle broadcast to the world, there might be some wavering in our stances, regardless of who won. Whether it was John McCain breaking his back to work with the Democrats, or the weak, inexperienced Obama (whom even his running mate Biden said was inexperienced and would be tested within 6 months).

Sadly, I truly believe that Mumbai is the tip of the iceberg. The pending closing of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a promise of the Obama campaign, is going to release 200+ terrorists back in to the fold, all of whom will be able to lead and spread anti-American propaganda to reinvigorate our enemies. This rejuvenation of released terrorists, along with constant anti-American comments from Democratic leaders of the past 6 years, has prepared the terrorists of the world to get us while we are at our weakest.

Obama wants to meet, without preconditions, with the leaders of these terrorist organizations. He will most likely bring them here, thus giving diplomatic immunity. Who knows what can happen with an anti-American terrorist with immunity?

I wish the best to the people who have been affected by the Mumbai tragedy. I sincerely hope the people responsible will me swift and appropriate justice...which means they have to have justice served before 12:00 noon on January 20th, 2009.

Colin Powell...Is he confident in his endorsement?

This past Sunday, on "Meet the Press," General Colin Powell delivered an endorsement for Senator Barack Obama. His explanation for why he decided to support Obama came directly from the talking points of the Obama campaign.

First, when talking with Tom Brokaw on "Meet the Press," his main reason for support was the economy. A proven war General such as Powell gave his primary reason for endorsing Obama was Obama's message on the economy.

While I appreciate and respect General Powell, I have to question his judgement. What does he truly know about the economy? What about Obama's plan enticed him? Seriously, Obama has tossed out numbers that sound great in 5-second soundbites, but none of those numbers add up in a positive way for America.

Powell did talk to reporters on his way out of the studios after the endorsement. He further explained his position. He said that the negative aspect of the McCain campaign was also a factor. He claimed that the McCain campaign accused Obama of being a terrorist and a Muslim.

Whoa whoa whoa!

When did McCain's campaign call Obama a terrorist? He HAS in fact spent time working with a known domestic terrorist William Ayers. It is a FACT. Obama KNEW who Ayers was given that in a recent interview Obama said, "I assumed he had been rehabilitated."

Rehabilitated from what? Obama must have known how radical Ayers was, and still is today. On the morning of September 11, 2001, the papers that hit newstands just a few short hours before the world changed forever, included an interview with Ayers in which he said he WISHED HE HAD BOMBED MORE AMERICAN TARGETS. This was about the time that Obama was capitalizing on the political launching that Ayers helped facilitate.

There is a connection there that has not been fully vetted, only generalized and brushed off by Obama. However, at NO TIME has McCain, Sarah Palin, nor the campaign itself called Obama a terrorist. All they have done is simply question the judgement of a man who wants to lead the world. Is that so wrong?

Next, Obama is the only one who has brought up his name and heritage. The McCain campaign has NEVER brought into question Obama's name, his father's Muslim heritage, or his religion, period. Never. McCain grabbed the microphone from the hands of a lady who tried to bring it up at a recent rally. McCain has shown incredible respect and decency toward Obama.

Powell's reasoning has more holes than swiss cheese. It does not add up. I hope America will see through the smoke screen. Our troops overseas...our economy...our future cannot take the risk.

Remembering What Today Is...

Each of the past six years, on the anniversary of September 11, 2001, I have posted a blog, either on MySpace, Xanga, or have written a newspaper column. In those columns, I have posted my support of the troops, President George W. Bush, the families and friends of victims of the attacks, and I have taken to pointing out the shortcomings of those that opposed President Bush in fighting the War of Terror.

I sit here, 7 years and 12 hours after the attacks commenced, and wonder. I wonder how different the world would be had the attacks never occurred. Where would we be? Would we be better off? Would we be worse?

We will never know, and there is no way to answer those sorts of questions. All we can do is play the hand we are dealt and hope to be able to guess what the other players are holding, and hope for what is yet to be dealt.

The hand we were dealt included a brutal attack on America and Americans, as well as many others representing nearly 100 other nations. That hand included a few, brief shining months of unity and respect for our own country, only to be followed by more division and vitriol than this country has ever had, including during the time of the civil war.

So, tonight, I only wish that the memories of the fallen might not be tarnished by continued hatred and anger and despisement of each other. I wish we would stop letting the TV tell us how to think. I wish we would continue to work for a better America by doing what is right, and not what sounds good in a 5 second soundbite.

WE cannot do that, though, because we have, overall, forgotten what happened in New York, PEnnsylvania, and Washington, D.C., that day. We have such ADD and a short term memory in this country. We have already blocked out and or forgotten everything this day means.

I ask...no, I plead with you, do not forget this day. Do not let the memories of the fallen go to waste. Remember the day. Remember the freedoms that those creatures tried to take away. Remember the fear they inflicted, and then do what you need to do IN SPITE of the fear and in spite of them.

America is such a wonderful, great country. We should not hurt our nation by forgetting the depth of the attacks on our country on 9-11-01.

In closing, I want to say thank you to the George W. Bush administration for not forgetting what 9-11-01 tried to take away from us, and making sure it did not happen again. I want to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement who have worked tirelessly, and sacrificing everything, to keep our country safe from attacks. I want to thank the families and friends who lost so much on 9-11-01 for being strong, and for carrying on their lives, showing that America can be knocked down to one knee, but, by God, we will rise again.

God bless America.

When in the Course of human events...

How many of you knew, before making the connection with today's date and the nature of my blogging, that these words began the Declaration of Independence?

How many of you know what the Declaration of Independence REALLY means?

On July 4, 1776, a group of men called the Second Continental Congress adopted this document. This document was a dissolving of the political and governmental ties to the state of Great Britain. While it was adopted on July 4, 1776, and essentially gave birth to the United States of America, only John Hancock, the elected President of Congress, signed the declaration on this day. (Thank you to Wikipedia for the information. View the entire Declaration of Independence as well as the history of the document at Wikipedia here .)

July 4, is celebrated as America's birthday. It is the symbolic date in which the world forever changed. It is the date upon which the last semblance of the British Empire was erased due to the unfair taxes and practices of the King of England. Some of the information I read at the above Wikipedia link was old hat, old news that I had heard during my liberally-biased education in elementary and high school history and civics classes.

However, those old facts and the new facts I had not learned all came together, along with something I had heard on the radio the other day. Sean Hannity, as well as several other conservative radio hosts I listen to, play clips of President Ronald Reagan's speeches from time to time, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation.

In this particular instance, the late, great President Reagan is talking about how America's traditions and power are eroding because of a lack of understanding by current generations. America, the America that Reagan still envisioned and loved, the America that the parents of the baby boomers fought and suffered and died for without regret or reservation, is falling further and further into the past. It eroding and fading away.

I have come to a conclusion based on my Wikipedia reading, and the inspirational words of President Reagan. Today, the day we celebrate America's birth, freedom, and independence, we need to sit down during the weekend and revisit our history.

The generations that are running the world today have lost touch with the realities of what made America great. We have lost our identity and pride. American pride is washing away into the oceans of guilt, regret and self-loathing, as brought on by the bleeding hearts on TV.

Why are there liberals who project a feeling of guilt when it comes to our freedoms, prosperity, and success? Why do we have Americans who hold disdain for their own country due to the very freedoms that allow them the right to publicly hold and display that disdain?

We need to revisit the sacrifices of the men, women, and children of the wars in which America has fought. From the French and Indian War to the Revolutionary War to the War of 1812 to the Civil War to the two World Wars to the Cold War to Korea to Vietnam to the two Persian Gulf Wars, Americans take for granted the sacrifices and pride taken in those sacrifices.

Do we really, truly know what it means to be an American? Do you know what John Hancock and the Second Continental Congress was trying to accomplish with the Declaration of Independence? Do you know what the Bill of Rights really means?

More importantly, are you proud to be an American? Are you thankful to God to be living here? If not, perhaps President Reagan was right. Perhaps you desperately need to relearn and comprehend your country's rich history, and redevelop your pride and appreciation for this great land.

As I conclude this July 4th blog, let me add a deep, heartfelt thank you to the following people for their sacrifices, sometimes unintentional and unwilling, that made America the greatest country in the history of man kind. I say that this is the greatest without reservation, shame, embarrassment, or any negativity of any kind. I say it because it is fact. America is the greatest country, EVER.

Thank you for making the blog and country possible:
-Current and past members of the Armed Forces.
-The wives, widows, and orphans of Armed Forces personnel, past and present.
-The victims and the families of those lost in the attacks on 9-11-01
-The victims and families of the attacks on the American Embassies in the 1980's and 1990's
-The men and women in uniform for the nation's police, fire, and rescue units.
-Men and women like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram, and the countless others who love their country and make no mistake about their American Pride.
-The men and women and children who constantly pray for the safety and return home of our soldiers in harm's way.
-The leaders in the Second Continental Congress who took the bold initiative to Declare our independence from the tyrant British leadership in 1776.
-The tireless and endless support of our allies in Britain, Poland, Australia, Israel, and the many other countries who have been by America's side since 9/11.

Thank you to the groups I mentioned above, and millions of other people who have given me the opportunity to live in the freedom and greatness of America.

Happy Birthday, America! God bless us all!

Remembering 9/11 Six Years Later...

Everyone is posting stuff about remembering the victims and the families and everything, but, really, how many of us REALLY remember what 9-11 means?
If you watch the news, or, let's face it, it's really not news but actually nationally broadcast editorials posing as news, you see that they have forgotten what 9-11 means. If you look to many in Congress, they have forgotten what happened six years ago.
On the news, and I use the term loosely, you see constant focus on the loss of life in Iraq and the constant references to "another Vietnam," or "being stuck in a Civil War." The news uses the 9-11 anniversary as a theme to point fingers and create blame for the world's troubles. They exaggerrate the bad and totally down-play the positive. There is always a slant to the news now...the angle is always there to find a way to prove George W. Bush and the repulican congress failed. They say that Bin Laden is still alive. They say that al Qeada is still organizing and is "stronger than ever."
Judging by the tape released several days ago, Bin Laden looks like a beaten man. The whiny bully who has lost his iron-fist control of the neighborhood. His eyes looked tired...like those of a man who has been on the run for SIX YEARS. He is in such a dissheveled state, they had to import some grecian formula to try to make him look respectable...but dying your beard will only cover up the truth...Bin Laden is weak, tired, and has lost his strength physically and as a leader. Not to mention, his planned attack at Rammstein in Germany was foiled just days before his little home video came out.
If al Qeada is so much stronger, its because Iran is sending supplies into Iraq. So, with the power of Iran and Syria, and quite possibly Saudia Arabia and Russia, al Qeada has more resources, but they are not stronger. They are a threat, but more so to our troops and our allies in the field of battle, and less likely to hit us at home again.
And don't give me this bull about "Iraq didn't attack us." The people who we are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq are all cut from the same cloth with the same ideas. They want Americans to die. They want to kill you. They want to kill me. They hate every freedom we have. They have an impossible hate for us. They hate America almost as much as democrats do.
Speaking of which, if you think the media does not have an anti-Bush bias, ask yourself this. How many times did your news focus on the fact that absolutely ZERO attacks have occurred on US soil since 9-11? Clinton allowed the 1993 WTC bombing to go unpunished, the attacks on US Embassies in Africa to go without punishment, and then the 2000 USS Cole attack went unanswered. Three attacks in 8 years for Clinton...One in 7 years for Bush (By the way, the attacks on 9-11 were planned during Clinton's lazy years, so, technically, 9-11 was a Clinton mishap, much like the inherited recession Bush dealt with in his first year of office.)
So, please continue to remember the victims...the families of victims...remember that there are still 3,000 empty chairs at the dinner table because the Clinton administration allowed Bin Laden to build strength for 8 years. Just think...what if Clinton had gone after al Qeada in 1993...who might still be alive today...then ask, are we ready for another no-action Clinton administration?

Radical Idea About Immigration Reform....

With this amnesty, excuse me, "Immigration Reform" bill still on the stove, albeit the back burner for now, I want to put its ideals to a test. Let's see if it can work.

First, in the dead of night, despite a wall and several security measures, I want to make as many attempts as needed to break into Ted Kennedy's home. I live in a small town in a middle class home with limited opportunities. If I could just be a Kennedy, I could fulfill my dreams.

It won't matter if I am arrested and sent back home. I will keep trying. If a cop gets too rough with me, all I have to do is claim I am some sort of minority, and HE will go to jail, and not me.

I will set up residence there, doing jobs most Kennedy's won't do. I will then be privy to the same rights and priviledges as any member of the Kennedy family. I will be added to Ted's government employee insurance benefit, at his expense. I will be given access to the best schools and training that money can buy, at his expense. I will automatically have rights to a share of his retirement fund, at no expense to me.

I will be allowed to work and save up to pay a fine for having broken in, but after my fine is paid, I will be a Kennedy. I won't even have to talk in a manner in which the current residents of the home will understand. They will have to learn to talk the way I do. All books and labels will have to be rewritten in such a way as I see fit. If there is something in the home I cannot figure out how to use and I get hurt, it will be the fault of the homeowners and the fault of the people who sold it and the people who made it. My ignorance will never be called into question.

I think I will do it. My family needs the money to get out of debt. Even if I do find work in the Kennedy house, I will also be allowed to steal anything I need so I can help bring my family there. Again, if the cops are involved, they will only be attacking me because of their prejudice, and not at all because I was in the home illegally.

If it works for me, then perhaps we should go forward with this bill. And, of course, this type of punishment for illegally entering somewhere and setting up residence there will not, absolutely not!, encourage more people to do the same.

Who is with me?

Liberal Ignorance

Appearantly, calling for a renewed focus on upholding the laws of our sovereign land is racist.

Wanting to rid the US of illegal immigrants is bigoted.

On May 1, 2006, I posted a blog about the national walk-out by many Hispanics. The theory was the walk-out would demonstrate the importance of illegal aliens to our economy. Nice theory except the walk-out included MOSTLY legal citizens, including many liberal WHITES.

My blog attacked that walk-out and called for tighter borders and for people who wanted to be a part of the US to go through the proper channels.

Somehow a call to follow and strengthen the enforcement of LAW is racist. I still do not grasp the logic. Now, the question is, what inspired this blog about a 4 month old blog? The following response to my blog typed today will show you my inspiration.

This is the exact response, word for word, cut and paste exactly as posted, typos included.:

I understand now that you are a very sick individual who is not only ignorant to life but a bigot with no moral values what so ever. I stumbled across your page today and so far I find you to be a racist, a bigot and someone with no moral values what so ever.

You are now encouraging everyone who reads your words to go out and shoot someone, but direct this mostly to immigrants. Are you aware Mr. "I have a college degree" that everyone in America is a immigrant except for the Native American of which you are not one of? Do you suggest that we just go around and eliminate everyone unless they have blond hair and blue eyes, which again would not include you.

You make claim to having a degree from college and I wonder just which university of higher learning taught you all of these values? You claim to be from West Virginia; however there must be another one because I was never brought up to hate other races.

Our country was founded on protest; take the Boston tea party as a great example. In this country people have rights to protest and boycott without fear of someone gunning them down. This right is not found in other countries but our rights are etched in the Bill of Rights as well as the Constitution.

Today I have found so much hate in all your words for all you post. In college they should have taught you how civilized people sit down and discuss issues and find a peaceful resolution to them. It was not too many years agao that dr. Martin Luther King lead peaceful marches though out the south to gain civial rights for the blacks. Blacks who protested were shot, killed whipped and beaten. Blacks were treated unfair and though peaceful methods things changed in the south.

Do you fear change? Do you condone violence as the way to resolve this issue? Your words rightfully could inside violence and result in death should anyone take you serious. I will once again suggest that you select your words with the up most caution and place your anger and violence where no one could read it as not to act upon it. Your words could cause another columbine, or an act as the one committed by timothy McVeigh or even the World Trade center.

I strongly feel you are a threat to our homeland security and should be closely monitored for fear of what you may do with the anger you seem to hold on to. Please seek immediate help from a professional mental heath counselor for your own good ant the welfare of others you may come in contact with.

Incredible. On some levels, I am flattered because this kook thinks I have enough influence to encourage someone on myspace.com to go out and shoot someone. For anyone with any sense, they know that the line about "Trespassers will be shot" is a tongue-in-cheek remark, much like when Rush Limbaugh claims to have "talent on-loan from God!" or claims to be "America's REAL anchorman," an obvious rib or a famous liberal "news" anchor (news in " " because liberals do not report "news," but propaganda and lies and spin, see Dan Rather forged document story...).

So, I am flattered that my little old blog has that much influence. Thank you, Harold.

Now, to the more serious issue purported by a bitter person. This is the matter of me being full of hate, being a bigot, and being racist. In communications classes, I learned that publishing lies such as this is called LIBEL, but I won't sue. I will merely point out the idiocy of people like this.
First, I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL with any man, woman, or child of any race, religion, sexual orientation, or origin. I may not agree with parts of their lifestyle, but in AMERICA we can actually disagree and move on with our lives.

I have no problems with, and actually welcome, people of all walks and origins and races and creeds to my country. It is a great country. But first, ask permission. We are a sovereign land with boundaries, laws, and millions of people waiting in line to become a citizen legally. So, why should you get to cut in line because you know how to sneak inside our borders? As in my own home, I would welcome anyone who is looking for a better life. Just have the respect for me and my land to ask to come in the front door and don't try to climb in the back window.

Yet, I am racist because I ask immigrants to come to my home legally and properly. How so? Really. Explain it to me.

I never told anyone to shoot anyone. I didn't say shoot immigrants. I said there might be a warning, "Beware: TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT." A tongue-in-cheek remark as stated previously. However, the key word in the sentence is "trespassers." Is the word "trespasser" assigned to one race or nationality? Did I miss something? If so, should I stop saying "forgive me my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me" because the word trespass is a racist term? Hmmm.

Now, to address the funniest part of this rambled response.

This paragraph cracks me up:

I strongly feel you are a threat to our homeland security and should be closely monitored for fear of what you may do with the anger you seem to hold on to. Please seek immediate help from a professional mental heath counselor for your own good ant the welfare of others you may come in contact with.

I am a threat to homeland security. WOW!!!!!!! From the desk in my home on a free website where I have less that 10 people a day looking at my blogs, my call for a tightening of our borders is a threat to homeland security. I hold on to so much anger...I might...just...WRITE ANOTHER BLOG!!!! Oh, my GOD!!! HELP US ALL!!!! Somebody please take the keyboard from my hands. Someone call the FBI, CIA, DOD, NSA, IRS, ASPCA, NCAA, RSVP, and anyone else that can help. I just might voice an opinion that my mom, dad, and a few friends may read.

Who in the heck gave me the right to free speech? Who would let someone of a conservative mindset that wants secure borders and people to come to my home LEGALLY and with PERMISSION use a right granted by the US Constitution (and guarenteed, sometimes in blood, by the US Soldier)???

Harold, grow up. You demonstrate what is wrong with the country and what is wrong with liberals. You freak out over something your ignorance took out of context while missing the entire point. You're the type of person whining about your privacy when the government is tapping in to terrorist phone calls. The only way its a violation of your privacy is if you are on the line with a terrorist. You're the kind that wants rights and protections and an easy lifestyle for terrorists in our prisons. The people who would kill you and your children and grandchildren are the ones you cry about and scream about if they get a splinter, yet you hit the mute button or turn the channel and forget it when a US citizen has their head sawed off by the cousin of the jerk we have in jail in Gitmo.

Enjoy your freedoms. Enjoy your country while you have it. Lord knows, if liberals ran the country...well, the US would be run from Kabul by now....

Five Years Ago...

Five years ago today, I was sitting at the controls of WWJD Eagle 91.7 FM, Alice Lloyd's college radio station. My friend Aaron Goff and I were hosting a morning show and just having a good time trying to entertain. At a little past 9 am, we get word that the World Trade Centers are on fire.

We start to watch the news. We see plane number 2 hit. We see the split screen where a plane has hit the Pentagon, but at first we thought it was just a different view of what is going on. The whole time we are so confused. What is going on? Then, the tower fell. Then the second. I knew that we were at war.

I was sad. I was confused. I was pissed off. I was running in circles wanting to help. What could I do? Drive to DC or NYC and just pitch in? Here is the greatest tragedy in American history and I am powerless to help.

There is rarely a day that goes by that I don't think about that day and the anger, rage, sadness, and fear I felt. Being a child of the 1980's, the movie Red Dawn kept playing in my head. I knew that if it came to that, I would definitely be a Wolverine. But, I was stuck in Kentucky powerless to do anything. All we could do was pray, talk to each other, and be scared, sad, and mad.

As did most Americans, we did what we could. There was no way I could drive my car 1,000 miles to NYC to help. Most likely, I would be sent home and be kicked out of school. So, I did, and continue to do so, what I can do to make sure that 9-11 isn't just a bump in American history.

Every year I watch a 9-11 Documentary and every year I will help spread the word and spread the reminder of what we lost that day. Sadly, more and more people are tuning out their initial response to 9-11. People are forgetting. They are ignoring. They are letting 9-11-01 drift into historic obscurity.

We cannot forget. There are still empty chairs at dinner. There are holes in family trees. There are broken hearts still healing. There is a gaping hole in the middle of Manhattan that resembles the hole in America. We cannot forget the true meaning of what happened 5 years ago. Remembering is the best way to prevent it from happening again.

People ask for a national day of rememberance, a day of no work and no school. I think that is stupid.

9-11 should be the one day where attendance is 100%. As a nation, we should simply show up. Go to work. Go to school. Do what you normally should be doing. Attendance has to be 100%. The reason 9-11 happened was a bunch of renegade animals who have corrupted a peaceful religion decided to interfere with America and our daily lives. They wanted to scare us into our homes and scare us from going through our normal routine. So, in response to that, we should, as one nation UNDER GOD, show up. And, in one voice, tell those scum that we will not surrender, we will now cower to their cowardly attacks. We are Americans, dammit, and there's not a damn thing you can do to stop us.

Happy Birthday America!!!

Happy Fourth of July!

Every single country and every single person on this Earth has the 4th of July on their calendars, but only those 300+ million of us AMERICANS celebrate this day. Why? Because in 1776, a group of men decided that this country wanted to be free, to be independent. We celebrate the birth of our great nation the day that John Hancock put his large signature on the Declaration of Independence, a letter that proclaimed that tyranny and unfair taxation and unfair governing from 3,000 miles away would no longer be tolerated on the other side of the Atlantic.

Since then, the beauty and grandness of the freedom of America has been tested, detested, and has faced some terrible threats. From the vicious red coats to the battles between our own people to the Axis powers to the terrorists of today, and every threat in between, there has been one force standing between our freedoms and anarchy and chaos. That one, strong, true, diligent force is our Armed Forces.

Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard all stand in the way of fear, invasion, and the tyranny we deposed in 1776. Men and women from all walks of life have taken part in that line of defense for you and me, far too many have given the ultimate sacrifice for us. It is unfortunate that so many lives must be lost to save so many others, but that is the nature of the beast. When you have something so precious as freedom, others want it or want to destroy it. It is our men and women in uniform that fight, get injured, and possibly die to protect that freedom for us.

Today, as you grill and mope about the work you have to do this shortened week, consider this. There are thousands of men and women who do not get today off. They are fighting for a free Afghanistan and Iraq so we can be safer at home. With Bin Laden on the run, Al Zarqawi dead, and Sadam Hussein in jail, our world is much safer. There are men and women suffering and sacrificing for you and me while we eat grilled hotdogs and burn our thumbs on sparklers.

Today, remember those who dont get a short work week. Just because you arent at work, dont think for one second someone else isnt picking up the slack. If you get a chance, thank a soldier. Thank them for serving. Thank them for signing up to be a part of something so selfless as to be willing to die for your freedom.

That is a major part of what today is all about. Its about enjoying our freedom and what makes America great. It is also about remembering why and how we got our freedom in the first place.

God bless the United States. God bless our soldiers.

The Nerve of people

Throughout the country today, millions of Hispanics and their supporters came together with the intent to disrupt our country. They wanted to prove the impact of illegal immigrants on our economy. They wanted to prove how invaluable undocumented workers are to our economy. They wanted to show this by doing a nationwide boycott and work walk-out.

As with every liberal idea and grand scheme, it is nothing but propaganda and the forcible dumbing-down of our society.

First, how can we see the true impact that illegal immigrants have on our economy when 55-75% of the protestors are CITIZENS and DOCUMENTED EMPLOYEES? How does this work? As with all other liberal ideas, this one is full of garbage. We have people shutting down stores, gas stations, and thousands of other businesses to show the impact of illegal immigration on our economy. The argument does not fit the purpose. Its like arguing that chocolate is the best ice cream flavor and drinking Coke to prove it.

That isnt even the biggest problem I have. The biggest problem I have with this is the fact that we have thousands to millions of illegal immigrants using OUR right to peaceably assemble and OUR right to free speech. No where in our constitution have we EVER guaranteed illegal immigrants the same rights as legal citizens. The essence of the term immediately devoids them of many rights. The name says it all: ILLEGAL immigrants, as in breaking the law and cheating and lying and stealing. Yes, crossing into the US without proper documentation and working without proper documentation is ILLEGAL, and ILLEGAL activities are not to be encouraged. NOT EVEN WITH AMNESTY!!!!

Picture your home, the place youve worked your whole life to build, maintain, and protect. Picture a stranger breaking into your home. He eats your food. Drinks milk straight from your carton. Calls home on your phone long distance. He is unwelcome and you want him out. As you try to call the police to have him removed from your home, hundreds of criminals arrive on your front lawn to protest. They call you racist. They demand that that man, who broke into your home, became a drain on your life and wallet, now gets the same rights that you, your wife, and your kids get under that roof. They demand that he gets to use your computer. They demand that you translate everything in your home so he can read it. They demand you start a savings account so he can go to school. They demand you give him a car before your kids can get one. The second you pause to think about it, you are called a racist, heartless, scum, communist, selfish, spoiled, and a million other names. You wouldnt stand for it. So why stand for it when your home is no longer a house but your country?

Why let these illegals take your tax dollars? Why allow the government to spend money that should go to paying for your tax-paying children to go to college on illegal immigrant health care? Its time America get back together and reunite for the greater good. Its time to reunite and protect our borders, national security, and national economy.

Its not racist to protect our borders. Its not racist to force LAW BREAKERS to follow the law or get out. I dont care if it is a white man, black man, middle eastern man, or other ethnicity. I do not care. If you are here illegally, get out. Now.

I have had a thought for a while that I want everyone to consider. To hell with the nay-sayers and race-baitors. I say we keep tabs on where these illegal immigrant rallies/protests are going on and send 5,000 NSA agents there to round up all the illegals. If you are a documented American worker, you may be released as long as you have ID. The rest will be processed and deported. I like the idea. If you are illegal and brash enough to come out in force, well, I believe your just dumb enough to be arrested and deported for being here illegally.

You know, being from West Virginia-Virginia for most of my life, I know of an old way of thought. You trespass on my land, I will give you a warning. But bewareTRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT.

(This Blog earned a nasty response, to which I responded in a blog in September of this year.)

A Few News Items...

This has been a news-busy December. Quite a bit of controversey has eaten up the pages of newspapers throughout the world. So, let me take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you how I became the Prince of a town called Bel Aire.

First, let's talk about Tookie. Stanley Williams. A convicted murderer. The founder, or one of the founders, of the deadly gang the "Cryps." Williams' death is the result of his crimes and the law of the land. The same people who want crime stopped will fight to the bitter end to save the life of one of the men most responsible for the amount of crime in LA. Women, who would be raped, robbed, and or murdered by the same thugs who run under the flag that Williams raised in the name of the Cryps, cried for him and his death. People accused Governor Swartzennegger of injustice. Yet, no where on the broad scope of our "unbiased" media did we see or hear the stories of the families torn apart by the four murders Tookie committed...nor did we hear a lot about how much terror and crime Tookie's boys are responsible for. Tookie claimed to be reformed and remorseful, yet never admitted responsibility for the crimes for which he was supposedly reformed and remorseful about. He never helped police arrest or convict any of his fellow criminals. All he did was create a few children's books. Woop-dee-doo. Justice was served. Stop crying for the sentence of a convicted killer. Cry for the slaughter of innocent babies.

Another battle is the politics over Iraq. Yes we are spending money. Yes, unfortunately, we are losing lives. Yes, war is hell and sucks. However, this is a war we needed to win and dominate to prevent the middle east from becoming a coalition of civilization-hating radicalists whose sole purpose in life is to kill Americans. We are winning this war. Iraq has had 3, not one, not two, but THREE...yes, count 'em, THREE free elections this year. Afghanistan is under the control of a democratic government...something liberal naysayers had said would never work. We are winning the wars in the middle east. We are winning in Iraq. Yet, you liberal weiners fight tooth and nail to demoralize our troops and accuse them of torture. Torture is begging for your life for a camcorder then having your head sawed off. Torture is not having to be stripped naked and women's underwear on your head. Torture is not gaining 5 pounds and leaving a prison healthier than when you arrived. To all liberals who are against our president and the war in Iraq, shut up. You lose. (Isn't it funny that the words of the liberals end up being repeated verbatim by people like Saddam and Al Zarqawi?)

Next is the "spying" controversy. The Bush administration, not much differently than the inept Clinton regime, listened in on calls between people in America and people on foreign soil. The calls were listened in to on the foreign end. Yet, you dumb liberals had to foil Bush at the potential expense of American lives. Let's expose a method of counter-terrorism that might prevent a terrorist attack for our own gain. The "spying" is looking at potential TERRORISTS and not trying to steal Grandma's secret recipe for brown beans. They are listening in on conversations between people who fit the description and patterns of the 19 murderers who killed 3000 people on 9-11-01. If you are a white, middle-aged male with 4 kids and a mortgage, chances are slim that you are even going to make a call to Afghanistan that would be listened in on. So, stop over-dramatizing the situation and claim the big, bad Bush Administration is spying on AMERICAN CITIZENS!!! State the facts: our government is seeking to find out intel about people with terrorist ties. You have nothing to hide? Then there is nothing to worry about.

Finally, as this blog is getting rather long and should be broken into chapters, let me say that the ACLU has outlived its usefulness. It is a shell of its original design. It is an extremist group of people out to make a name for itself at the expense of innocent people. To them, I hope they all get something other than coal for Christmas...maybe the "exhaust" from the deer-powered sleigh that Santa drives?

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Liberalism at its Worst

Dick Durbin is a slime...and is the a-typical liberal.

His comparisons of our men and women to the evils of Stalinist Soviet troops and Hitler's Nazis is despicable, hurtful, cruel, and unfair. Our troops are NOTHING like the Nazis and Soviets. There are not mass graves of prisoners being filled. There are not massive numbers of casualties once a foreign combatant is apprehended.

Yet, liberals get away with attacking our troops this way because they are allowed to attack the President with reckless abandon. What better way to attack a war time president than to attack the men and women who are serving him?

"Our troops at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are running the facilities like a Soviet gulag. Their mistreatment of the prisoners is like the Nazis. But, I support and love and am proud of our military."

How does that work? In essence, this is what Durbin and the liberal left is purporting. How can you accuse someone, FALSELY ACCUSE, that is, of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and in the next breath talk about how supportive and proud you are of them.

Durbin's comments were cruel, insensitive, and gave the enemy exactly what they want: another soundbite from a prominent American leader that supports the terrorist agenda. Yet, the alphabet channels will not call Durbin to the mat for this. Instead, we see a parade of liberals who refuse to call him out and speak out against the attacks on President Bush and our troops.

Thank God for Mayor Richard M. Daley in Chicago. He is one democrat who has his own thought processes. Instead of taking the kool aide and going along with the program, Daley has stepped up and demanded Durbin to right his wrong.

Durbin, instead, gave a bogus apology in which he defended his comments. If you are truly sorry, there is no need to defend the comments for which you are sorry. Instead, Durbin only says, "I'm sorry if I offended you," quoting loosely, and does not say he is sorry for what he said. He is sorry people did not get his message clearly and were hurt by it.

I am all for differing ideas, differing thoughts, and differing beliefs. I think that is the beauty of America. If you disagree with an ideal, policy, practice, or plan, fine! Cool! Great! Let's hear WHY and let's hear an alternative??

Nope, not happening with the left. They whine, complain, and obstruct. They offer nothing but obstruction and impedence. They attack every idea and plan...every person and suggestion and every proposed solution. Meanwhile, they offer no alternatives. They offer nothing but whining and complaining. Its easy to not be wrong and to be on the correct side when you don't pick a side and don't stick to a moral and ethical code.

About Me...And This Blog Site...

My name is David A. Ebert, the oldest of two siblings produced by my parents, Leah and David G. Ebert. We are all Republicans, but I take it a toke or two...well, closer to 10 tokes...further than my parents,

I am very much a Right Wing Conservative. I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe Americans, in general, are smarter than elected officials in Washington, DC. We should be more in charge than the Government.

We, as individuals and families, should have more responsibility over our own, hard-earned money and not send more and more and more taxes to the out-of-touch politicians. I believe the government is there to serve us, and not us to serve them.

I believe in America's greatness and that, overall, we are the most generous, forgiving, intelligent, and genuinely decent country in the world. I also believe that we are the most powerful nation in the history of the world, but do not use that power to hold over the collective heads of other nations.

I believe that low taxes, intelligent spending of those tax revenues, strong initiatives on defense and education, and small government influence on the day-to-day lives of Americans are some of the most important ideals related to how the US should be operated.I believe in the freedoms granted by the US Constitution. I believe that judges should uphold and interpret the laws as written in the US Constitution, and not refer to any foreign legislation to make their historic decisions.

I believe the First Amendment, as well as the entire Bill of Rights, are the most important laws this world has ever seen.

I believe abortion is WRONG. I believe that homosexuality is WRONG. I believe that allowing anyone to publicly debate the possibility of lowering the age of consent, especially for young boys to consent to older men, is a tragedy of morality. I believe that organizations like NAMBLA should be publicly shunned and not given a platform to spew their harmful and dangerous rhetoric.

I believe there is a sad lacking in the ability of our nation to appreciate and accept self responsibility. We, as a nation, blame daddy, racism, sexism, classism, mommy, the mean teacher, the mean little league coach, the loud mouthed uncle, the financial status of the neighborhood in which we grew up in, and a million and one other reasons why we do not succeed. How often do we, as a nation, take the blame for our own mistakes? How often do you hear someone accept responsibility for their own mistakes? How often?

I am conservative. I am worried about the future of the country and the planet, especially if O-BOMB-A or Billary Clinton make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I will start posting my fears, my hopes, my ideas as they all relate to news and politics. I hope to open some eyes and change some opinions with my writings. Most of all, I hope you will read my words and be inspired to find the truth...and not rely on Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman or Katie Couric or Matt Lauer for your opinions. I hope you will break the mold and do something unreal...unexpected...do something that O-BOMB-A and Billary are afraid of you doing...

THINK FOR YOURSELF.
