If you, no matter which side you support, would take time and listen to the pundits and the politicians weigh in on this topic, and would consider both sides without bias, it is clear which side is correct in this matter.
Before I explain why I think one side is correct and the other side is destructlively wrong, let me pose a series of questions. These are rhetorical, but if you would like to leave a comment with your answer, please feel free.
1) When has the US Government EVER created a series of programs and beauracrasies that made the government larger, but more efficient?
2) Do you REALLY think that giving the IRS more jurisdiction and power is a good thing for the American family?
3) How much money should successful people be made to forfeit in the name of redistribution?
4) Why do people that don't work and don't strive deserve to be taken care of off the backs of the people who do work?
5) If the bill was so fantastic and so wonderful, why the talk of circumventing rules and procedures to cram it through?
6) How in the world is a federal government takeover of the student loan program, taking the power to lend away from banks and private institutions (except one) part of health care reform?
Just some questions to ponder.
Now back to the opening ideas of this post. Let us look at the arguements for and against this plan. Look at the differences in the wording of the responses of each side. This is where I confirmed my belief that this fiasco is going to destroy our country, and not from Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, or even Mark Levin.
As I read and watched the arguements from both sides, I found a trend and a pattern. This pattern showed me which side was telling us the truth and which side was using strange forms of double-talk straigh out of Orwell.
On one side, you have people citing facts and programs actually in the bill. They explain how the downside of the plans in the bill will potentially destroy the economy, kill jobs, and potentially kill the very people the bill is advertised to save. This side speaks in facts, reality, and with a passion for our country.
On the other side, you will hear a lot of platitudes and wishful thinking. You have leaders in the Congress selling the plan as a way for struggling artists, writers, and musicians to quit their jobs they keep for insurance benefits and pursue their dreams. It is a way for potential entreprenures to quit day jobs and eliminate the risks to their families of being uninsured. They talk in lofty dreams and utopian ideas. They talk about how there is only one way to fix the problems in the health care system, meanwhile ignoring some of the biggest problems that are really there. They will tax everything under the sun, except for things they like, such as the Botox tax and taxes on plastic surgery. Despite the political alliance with the American Medical Association, which is just a political group and not an actual representation of medical personnel, actual doctors are not involved in the bill. Lawyers are. There is no tort reform included because why would lawyers limit their own income streams?
As any person will tell you, our system has flaws and does need some work. We need to find a way to lower the cost of an Aspirin in a hospital from $50 a pill. Band-aids need to cost less than $25. Yet, this bill will do the opposite. Costs for the average person will skyrocket.
This bill disallows the practices of insurance companies denying pre-existing conditions. However, it does nothing to protect the insurance company from abuse. Let's say you have no insurance but have a heart attack. Your spouse can call and purchace insurance en route to the hospital to cover the ambulance ride and the treatment for the heart attack. And the insurance company would have to, by law, cover you. I am sure that will lower insurance costs, right?
This bill will also force, legally arm-twist, all Americans into purchasing insurance. There are many people who prefer to pay out of pocket for services instead of deal with the hassle of filing claims and et cetra. For a relatively healthy person, it's more cost effective to pay $2000-$4000 in medical bills on the rare occasion they need services, than to pay $750-$1000+ a month every year, plus their deductibles and co-pays. There will be fines levied against those who do not purchase a government approved plan.
Which brings me to my next concern. What the heck is a "government approved plan?" Some group of senators, along with their lobbyists and SEIU friends, are going to determine what qualifies as an "approved" plan? What if my current plan doesn't meet their arbitrary standards? Do I have to change it, despite Obama's repeated promises that if I am happy, I can keep my plan? If a body of people cannot efficiently get a letter from West Virginia to Virginia, cannot find an efficient way to bill and receive taxes, and cannot find a way to market the census without wasting millions to hire Ed Begley and create a SUPERBOWL ad, I just cannot believe they will find a way to create a fair and efficient mandate on what makes for a "government approved insurance plan."
This bill is so far-reaching and creates so many beauracrasies. It grows our federal government exponentially. It will make everyone who purchases insurance see huge spikes in their rates. It will force companies to drop benefits packages because it will be too expensive. This bill will force the single-payer option on us because it is designed to bankrupt every single insurance company out there. Once the government is completely in control of health care, as Obama and many democrats have said is their end goal, then there is no going back. This bill will force our country into the same failing health system that Canada, the UK, and Cuba have. People will die sooner waiting for the most basic of needs. Minorities will see a drastic decline in their numbers because the most resources will be sent to the higher priority neighborhoods. This bill will KILL AMERICA.

Negro Dialects and Liberal Gifts to Blacks
Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid referred to Barack Obama as not having a "negro dialect." But, it was meant as complimentary, and not as an insult. So, since he is liberal and in a position of power that is vital to the further government take-over of America, his comments are excused, defended, and ignored.
It just amazes me the blind, and often ignorant, manner in which minorities, especially African-Americans follow Democrats. No matter what the facts are, African-Americans, speaking only in terms of the vast majority, will blindly follow the left and buy whatever it is they are selling.
In so many instances, such as affirmative action, liberls spew this mantra of how unfair and uneven the world is for minorities, and then tell minorities only politicians can help them overcome the biases. Rarely, if ever, do you hear a liberal politician preach on the merits and efforts of minorities, but how they, the politician, can help lower the bar and assist the minorities in getting to where they want to be.
The truth is, liberals treat blacks, hispanics, and other minority groups like caged animals. They give minorities small bits of raw meat to keep them happy and fed, the whole time killing their insticts to hunt and work for themselves. "Here, here is a free check because you're black and life is unfair." "We will never cut welfcare because cutting it would be racist since so many blacks are stuck on welfare." "Here, take this job that you aren't trained for because you are black. You won't get fired, either, because you are black and life is unfair for you."
Liberals are some of the most racist people known to man. They hold minorities back by constantly lowering the bar and lowering expectations, thus cutting their legs from underneath them. They take away their desire to succeed by telling them it is near impossible to succeed because of so much stacked against them. Liberals are racists because they do everything to take away minorities' desire to better themselves. Welfare and Affirmitive Action are the new slavery.
Everything the liberals try to give to minorities is an empty suit, empty promise, and crippling to their human potential. Liberals will give everything they can think of to minorities, as long as it is on the taxpayers' bill, to keep them from actually trying to do it on their own.
In the 1960's, the democrats and liberals fought AGAINST the Civil Rights movement. Yes, AGAINST. It was the Republicans that supported and pushed-through the Civil Rights Act. Republicans and the Conservative Right love all people and support them in their struggles to improve their own lot. We, do not, however, think that anyone who is able, regardless of color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, sex, or gender, should be allowed to sit at home and live off the backs of the taxpayer. Some people cannot work, we know. However, there are millions of people who sit on their butt and live better than many who work to provide that life for them.
Yet, for me to put forth that belief, that people who are able need to earn their way and not mooch, I will be accused by some of being a racist, a bigot, and insensitive. There are too many people who refuse to ask people to earn their way because they are afraid of being called racist, which is sad. Telling the truth is racism? If telling the truth offends a race of people, then perhaps that group of people needs to work to change their truth.
In our country, liberals like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid talk a good game for minorities during election cycles, but in all this time, with all these promises, with all these speeches, how much better off are minorities now? Most homeless are black. Most uneducated are black. Most unemployed are black. Most under employed are black. Most living in poverty are black. Its not racism, it is fact. It is tragic.
So much of what the liberals give to minorities is nothing but a half-hearted effort to manipulate, control, and quiet the minorities. Promises of freebies, free checks, reparations, free health care, and the power of the media and political machine to put pressure on anyone who dares hire more whites than blacks all work together to control minorities. Everything is an empty suit and an empty promise.
Liberals celebrated the candidacy of a black man for President of the United States. They talked about history and how important it was to elect a black man. They created an environment where people were made to feel guilty along the lines of bigotry and racism to vote for the black guy. In the Iowa caucuses, there was incredible pressure on these cornfield white people to pick the black guy and not be a racist by picking one of the whites. It is hard to vote for a white over a black when you are in a face-to-face group. Obama was selected by means of affirmative action in 2008. His selection was billed by the left as history in the making. It was moving and meaningful. Black President! Finally! Let's select the First Black President! Black President! That's what we heard from the left for 18 months...and still hear today.
Yet, just like everything else the left promises blacks, this promise and this event was only half-hearted and a way to gain control over blacks. They promoted and promised a black president...but what did the blacks get? A half-white president controlled by white 'massas' in Congress and at MoveOn.org.

The Deciet (and Deficit) of Panic and Fear Mongering
The Dems, who have been in control of Congress since early 2007, right before things started to tank economically, have done nothing but spread fear, panic, and emotional depression about the American economy. President Barack Obama keeps hammering home the point that he believes the current economic situation is a mirror image of the Great Depression.
Their constant fear mongering and pessimism is creating a vicious cycle that does nothing but worsen the situation. The pessimism leads to more fear, and mass populations do not work well with fear. And the Democrats are shoving through this pork-filled, wasteful, irresponsible, and damaging Stimulus Package.
The bill is over 1,100 pages long. It was written, approved in committee, passed in the House of Representatives, passed in the Senate, and on Barack Obama's desk within about 48 hours. It took approximately 24 hours to get it forced through the House.
1,100 pages of bureaucratic language and spending.

How long would it take you to read 1,100 pages? This blog usually takes up the equivalent of 2-3 pages per posting. I am estimating you spend in upwards of 10 minutes reading it. Ok, so let's do some math.
If it takes you 10 minutes to read 3 pages, which is roughly 3 minutes per page, and you were able to keep that pace for the length of the bill, you would spend about 3,300, minutes reading this bill. That is 55 hours of non-stop reading. The bill was passed in less than half of that time in the House of Representatives.
In the House of Representatives, 246 people voted for this massive bill without having read the thing. 246 Representatives took Obama and Pelosi's word and voted on the largest bill in the history of the United States without knowing what they were voting for. They authorized a bill that will end up costing over $1 TRILLION, with interest, with only the assurances that one might get from a shady used car salesman.
"No, no no! This car is hot! If you don't sign now, someone might steal it from you!! You don't have to read the warranty. I promise it will all work out. Sign now. Oh, no, the engine and transmission is fine. I promise! You don't need 24 hours to think it over. Come on, you can trust me. Ok?"
And 246 people signed for the car. Perhaps the car is ok. Perhaps it is a lemon. Perhaps the un-read warranty strictly states that the warranty is only good as long as the car remains on the lot? Still yet, 246 people signed for this bill. In less than 24 hours of its completion.
In your life time, how often does not reading the warranty information, or the contract information, work out for the person signing it? How often does not reading the fine print work out for the consumer? How often does a rushed long-term commitment work? How often do drive-through weddings work?
Yet, we, the American taxpayer (obviously dis-including anyone in the Obama administration, whom do not pay taxes unless caught and publicly outed) are now saddled with footing the cost of this bill. It was crammed through Capitol Hill and down our throats by a group of people who had not read it through.
This, my friends, is the Democrat party. Reckless spending with no responsibility or forethought. This is the Democrat party. Got a problem? Let's throw money at it.
If you are ever on a plane with a bunch of Democrats, and the plane has a similar fate to US Airways Flight 1549, you'd never make the Hudson River. Instead, when the first engine went out, they would reach into your pockets, take the cash you had, ball it up, and throw it at the engine. When engine two went out, they'd reach deeper in your pockets and throw more money at the first engine. This is the Democrat way.
Perhaps this nightmare will be over during the first week of November 2010.

Republicans are the obstructionists? I think they are saving America.
The next time you reach for another bucket of blame to throw across any Republican in your immediate proximity, please take a moment.
Most everyone in America, including myself, will concede the point that the American and World economies are both in dire straights. Joblessness is climbing at an alarming rate. Businesses and corporations are all burning through cash just to keep the lights on. People are having to leave their homes. It is not a good time in America right now.
Add to that the fear-mongering of Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress, and the constant repetition of the negativity on the 24-hour news cycle, and you have a self-defeating attitude among the people of the planet, thus creating a vicious cycle of fear, dread, and a lack of confidence in the system. Things are bad, but the perception is a majority of our trouble.
So, we need a stimulus package to jump start the economy and provide the opportunity for new jobs, and old jobs to come back. We are in an emergency, so we need a package that takes effect now. Not in 2 years. And certainly not in four years.
We also do not need billions of dollars to go to Connecticut to repair high schools, water slides, and pools. However, that is exactly the type of pork, monetary mismanagement, and wish-list spending that this stimulus package is carrying.
More than half of this bill is scheduled to spend its money in over 2 years from the day it is signed into law. We all hope this recession is not going to last 2 years. This is an emergency bill and not a bill for long-term spending. Yet, that is exactly what we are getting. This is the "do-or-die" package Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are shoving down our throats, threatening anyone who dares question the bill as being unpatriotic, an obstructionist, and uncaring of the struggles of the everyday American.
If the bill is so great, and has so much positive effect, why can't we take a few more days to fine-tune and question it?
Just take a look at this video. It takes about 20 minutes. Yes, he is Republican. If you need to, ignore his party affiliation. Just listen to the items included in this emergency stimulus bill. Listen to the earmarks included in this bill. Just listen and try to reason to yourself how these expenditures will create long-term jobs, long-term recovery, and slow and stop the recession. Ask yourself.
So many of these earmarks are spending packages that are supposed to be under the jurisdiction of the local government. These are not federal funding issues. This is what we mean by bigger government. Federal money means federal rules means Washington, DC, will be in your backyard. Big Brother is watching...

GOP...WAKE UP!
There are so few people out there hammering this home. It is time for the Republicans and Conservative to take this election. The time is NOW!
Nancy Pellosi and Dingy Harry Reid called for the summer vacation and shut down congress. Not such a big deal in most years. However, most years do not see gas hovering near $4 a gallon.
The big problem is that Pellosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and also third in line behind George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, literally turned off the cameras, kicked out the press, and turned off the mics and lights in mid-session while Republican Representatives were trying to get an up-or-down vote on off-shore oil drilling.
Pellosi abused her position to avoid getting something positive done. She refused the chance to have the vote on a resolution that could set the groundwork to open up off-shore drilling.
In the two years since the Democrats have taken Congress, they have done NOTHING. They did give away billions of dollars in the tax rebate deal. We all loved that short-term, however, we will pay long-term.
The Dems have done NOTHING. They watched as oil climbed over 75% and did nothing to slow the skyrocketing costs of energy. They played games with war funding by trying to impose timelines and deadlines. They passed meaningless resolution after meaningless resolution that disagreed with President Bush's policies. They renamed post offices and bridges. They investigated baseball and football and pro wrestling.
Yet, Nancy Pellosi closed Congress for summer to avoid voting on a resolution that would only set groundwork for offshore drilling. Republicans were not asking for an immediate approval to start drilling. All Republicans wanted was to pass a resolution that set the idea in motion. In the busy schedule of softball interviews she had to get to, Pelosi just did not have time to try to ease the suffering of Americans at the pump, nor fend off the pending crisis this winter when Americans need heating oil.
Yet, there are not nearly enough Republicans in a all-out outrage over this situation. Pelosi just handed us Congress and the White House with this tactic. Are we ready to take back the leadership?
The next two months will tell. I hope we are. I truly hope Republicans get their heads out of the sand and start hammering the liberal twerps and take back Congress and the White House.
Nancy Pellosi and Dingy Harry Reid called for the summer vacation and shut down congress. Not such a big deal in most years. However, most years do not see gas hovering near $4 a gallon.
The big problem is that Pellosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and also third in line behind George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, literally turned off the cameras, kicked out the press, and turned off the mics and lights in mid-session while Republican Representatives were trying to get an up-or-down vote on off-shore oil drilling.
Pellosi abused her position to avoid getting something positive done. She refused the chance to have the vote on a resolution that could set the groundwork to open up off-shore drilling.
In the two years since the Democrats have taken Congress, they have done NOTHING. They did give away billions of dollars in the tax rebate deal. We all loved that short-term, however, we will pay long-term.
The Dems have done NOTHING. They watched as oil climbed over 75% and did nothing to slow the skyrocketing costs of energy. They played games with war funding by trying to impose timelines and deadlines. They passed meaningless resolution after meaningless resolution that disagreed with President Bush's policies. They renamed post offices and bridges. They investigated baseball and football and pro wrestling.

If I Were Running for President, Part 5 of 5
The biggest problem facing Republicans in this election season is the lack of focus and planning. Republicans, or, really, all conservatives, are too busy trying to be all things to all people all the time. Instead, they need to come together and focus on their message and agenda.
In the last few blogs, I have investigated my agenda were I running for President in 2008. However, these blogs would also outline my agenda were I running for US or State Congress.
Yet, it is only mouthpieces like my blogs, conservative blogs throughout the world, and conservative radio like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity that are voicing such an agenda.
No one in the Republican Party is voicing an agenda or a focused plan. There is not one leader in the party that is defining what conservatives are going to be running on for 2008. There is not one leader in the party. Everyone is running in a thousand different directions.
This varied mindset and distracted party is why we have a psuedo-Democrat as our Presidential nominee. This is why Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson and other such conservatives are sitting this one out. The Republican party has weakened due to its strength. In 2004, Republicans had the world on a string...we could have done so much good the last four years, but we spent too much time working with the left that we drifted left.
If I were running for office, I would set forth a solid, focused, unmistakable agenda for my campiagn. I would make sure the world and the voting public knew what I stood for and what I planned to do in office. From the Presidential nominee all the way down to Atlanta City Dog Catcher, Republican candidates are in a murky mess as to what their campaigns are standing for.
For me, and anyone who is truly conservative, the agenda is the following. I would work toward these 5 goals:
1) We must become independent of other nations for our energy resources. We have our own abundant resources and it is time to invest time, money, and tax breaks to American companies to tap into those resources with the least amount of environmental impact.
2) We must continue to be on the offensive to continue to live in a safe and secure nation. We must WIN the war on terror.
3) We must secure our borders and make sure that people coming into this country are legal and have a right to be here. In that, we must work to clean out the current illegals in our nation.
4) We must make permanent the Bush Tax cuts and work toward the fair tax.
5) We must not allow judges to legislate from the bench on any court. Judges are appointed to interpret the laws of the land as they currently are, and not to create new meanings for laws for political reasons. We must appoint judges who will uphold the law, not create it.
Those are my five major platforms. Those platforms need to be the agenda for the Republican party if we have any hope in November. Not only do we need this hope for the Oval Office, but also for every elected office up for grabs this year.

If I Were Running for President, Part 4 of 5
So, now, on to the biggest, world-wide hoax in the history of mankind.
GLOBAL WARMING!
For billions of years, there has been fluctuations in the Earth's worldwide climate. There have been hot periods. There have been cold periods. There have been times when the climate of an entire continent has changed. Yet, in just the last 100 years since automobiles and industry has entered world dominance, somehow we humans have done more damage to the Earth than 6 billion years of eruptions and wildfires.
There is no evidence of a Global Warming. Temperatures now are lower than they were in 1998. Scientists in Australia have predicted a global COOLING for the next 15-20 years. The ice caps are NOT melting. Ocean levels are NOT rising. Hurricane Katrina was not the tip of the hurricane iceberg. 2007 did set a record for hurricane activity...or should I say, 2007 set a record for hurrican/tropical storm INactivity.
Yet, Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama, and the Sherriff John McCain are all touting anti-global warming agendas. There is MORE science to DISprove global warming than there is to prove its possibility.
I am all for conserving resources, slowing the waste, recycling, slowing the amount of pollution in the air, water and soil. However, this propagandized phenomenon of global warming is a JOKE.
We have seen a decline in the amount of hurricane activity. The recent barrage of tornado activity is due to a huge COLD air mass over North America...yes, a COLD air mass.
Let us not forget that Arizona and New Mexico have not always been deserts. The Grand Canyon was caused during an Ice Age. Greenland used to be green and flourishing with plant life. Iceland used to be covered in ice. There are preserved bodies in the ice of Antartica and the North Pole, meaning life was at the poles at some time.
The Earth works in cycles. Over billions of years, climates rotate from land mass to land mass. Its happened since long before humans crawled out of the primordial swamp. It will happen long after we give up our control of the planet. Climate change is cyclical. We have very little control.
I am not saying we are not, and have not, damaging the Earth in some ways. However, weather and the animal eco-system are all designed to gradually wash away and eliminate much of that damage.
Besides, how do you damage and destroy the planet with a substance it already has and needs? Carbon Dioxide is a naturally occurring substance. How is it so deadly to the planet?
As a Presidential candidate, I would vow to encourage the development of better technologies to reduce the impact of industry and energy consumption. However, I would not allow the crippling of the world's economy by forcing and taxing companies and consumers who use energy.
I would fight to inform the world the TRUTH of the hoax of Global Warming. I would make sure that people had the option of resorting to more ecologically beneficial energy consumption, and not force it upon them. I would not try to create government revenue off of industrial energy usage. Why? Corporations do not pay taxes. Instead, they increase the cost of their goods because their taxes are part of their cost of operation, part of the cost of the goods they produce.
So, essentially, a tax on a corporation is a tax on the consumer.
As President, I would work to create energy alternatives. I would work to create more economically sound options to create less pollution. I think we should be good stewards of the planet and leave it in good shape for future generations. However, we have to keep our economies strong in order to survive. Forcing companies to follow guidelines and to pay extra taxes for using energy will cripple, if not kill, the world economy.
Senator McCain's "Cap and Trade" proposal recently is ludacris. He will kill the economy. I hope he picks an economically intelligent Vice President and cabinet to keep him in check.

The Do-Nothing Democrats
"Phony Soldiers."
This small statement said in conversation with a caller almost 2 weeks ago is still a hot topic on Capitol Hill.
Dirty Harry Reid has led an effort to smear, attack, degrade, and pretty much call for the suspension, if not complete removal from air, Rush Limbaugh. Our tax dollars are funding the salaries of these soundbite mongers. Our tax dollars are being spent on representatives who chose to spend time arguing against a private citizen instead of trying to fix the problems this country is facing.
And its all over a blatant LIE.
It is a LIE...there is nothing to argue or debate about. What Reid and his liberal wack-job cohorts are crying foul about is a lie. It is a manipulation of the situation. It is a blatant attack on an American citizen and what they do or don't do in their occupation.
Rush did say the words "Phony Soldiers," in reference to former military speaking out against the Iraq war. The catch to these people, the snafu that makes them, in fact, phony, is the small detail that they WERE NEVER IN IRAQ. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, former military who never served in Iraq should not speak against the war as though they have been in this particular war.
Other media outlets, including ABC, have used the term before. "Phony Soldiers" is not something coined by Rush. Yet, to hear the Congressional record the past two weeks, you would think "Phony Soldiers" was a term coined by an anti-troop, anti-war, anti-American kook...but Rush is not on Air America...Rush is about as Patriotic, pro-Soldier as one can get. He has visited Walter Reed, toured the bases in Afghanistan and Iraq, and constantly supports the troops in every way he can.
Yet, Rush, Sean Hannity, and any right-wing commentator these liberals can think of, are being dragged through the mud as being everything the liberals have actually been. Anti-American. Anti-Troop. Anti-Patriotic.
It was a democrat liberal who called our troops "Nazi's."
It was a democrat liberal who said that our troops "terrorize women and children in the dark of night."
It was a democrat who compared the troops in our war prisons to those of the Russian "gulags."
It is the liberal democrat movement to cut funding for the war...as well as cut the defense budget to force us out of Iraq. (In the meantime, the troops will have to start chucking rocks and empty clips at the enemy as the money runs out.)
When Ahmadenijiad came to Columbia, he was speaking from liberal democratic talking points. (Did you really NOT notice how much like Hillary or Edwards or Reid or Pelosi Ahmadenijiad sounded?)
You see, the liberals know truth, facts, reality, and human decency really won't get them into control. They cannot defeat a true conservative in a one-on-one, mature debate.
Instead, they spend time NOT fixing social security, NOT fixing the fledgling Welfare System, NOT securing our borders, and NOT protecting us from future attacks. They choose to attack radio commentators who do little more than give the other side of the story...known in most dictionaries as the truth. I guess when your approval rating is lower than the President you've spent 8 years lying about, you have to attack someone else.
I pay a lot in taxes. A little less than I did in the 90's, percentagewise at least. In losing money to the government, I would like to see my dollars better spent. I think it is a gross waste of time for Congress to be stalled for 2 weeks to debate and discuss a two-word statement by a private citizen. Its such a waste of time and money.
I guess though, what can you expect. In their year since the major upset win in 2006, what have they done? The war continues, with progress, despite their constant emboldening of the enemy. Their non-binding resolution parade of the spring was nothing but a waste of time. Their blatant smear attacks on General Petraeus was dispicable. What have they really done since the election?
I think its time these democrats get back to work.

Remembering 9/11 Six Years Later...
Everyone is posting stuff about remembering the victims and the families and everything, but, really, how many of us REALLY remember what 9-11 means?
If you watch the news, or, let's face it, it's really not news but actually nationally broadcast editorials posing as news, you see that they have forgotten what 9-11 means. If you look to many in Congress, they have forgotten what happened six years ago.
On the news, and I use the term loosely, you see constant focus on the loss of life in Iraq and the constant references to "another Vietnam," or "being stuck in a Civil War." The news uses the 9-11 anniversary as a theme to point fingers and create blame for the world's troubles. They exaggerrate the bad and totally down-play the positive. There is always a slant to the news now...the angle is always there to find a way to prove George W. Bush and the repulican congress failed. They say that Bin Laden is still alive. They say that al Qeada is still organizing and is "stronger than ever."
Judging by the tape released several days ago, Bin Laden looks like a beaten man. The whiny bully who has lost his iron-fist control of the neighborhood. His eyes looked tired...like those of a man who has been on the run for SIX YEARS. He is in such a dissheveled state, they had to import some grecian formula to try to make him look respectable...but dying your beard will only cover up the truth...Bin Laden is weak, tired, and has lost his strength physically and as a leader. Not to mention, his planned attack at Rammstein in Germany was foiled just days before his little home video came out.
If al Qeada is so much stronger, its because Iran is sending supplies into Iraq. So, with the power of Iran and Syria, and quite possibly Saudia Arabia and Russia, al Qeada has more resources, but they are not stronger. They are a threat, but more so to our troops and our allies in the field of battle, and less likely to hit us at home again.
And don't give me this bull about "Iraq didn't attack us." The people who we are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq are all cut from the same cloth with the same ideas. They want Americans to die. They want to kill you. They want to kill me. They hate every freedom we have. They have an impossible hate for us. They hate America almost as much as democrats do.
Speaking of which, if you think the media does not have an anti-Bush bias, ask yourself this. How many times did your news focus on the fact that absolutely ZERO attacks have occurred on US soil since 9-11? Clinton allowed the 1993 WTC bombing to go unpunished, the attacks on US Embassies in Africa to go without punishment, and then the 2000 USS Cole attack went unanswered. Three attacks in 8 years for Clinton...One in 7 years for Bush (By the way, the attacks on 9-11 were planned during Clinton's lazy years, so, technically, 9-11 was a Clinton mishap, much like the inherited recession Bush dealt with in his first year of office.)
So, please continue to remember the victims...the families of victims...remember that there are still 3,000 empty chairs at the dinner table because the Clinton administration allowed Bin Laden to build strength for 8 years. Just think...what if Clinton had gone after al Qeada in 1993...who might still be alive today...then ask, are we ready for another no-action Clinton administration?

Playing with the Troops Funding for Political Gain
In case you live in a cave, by now you know that the Democrats in congress are using their positions to increase the mighty swing of their political bats by playing games with our troops' lives.
Our troops are dependent on funding for necessary equipment and training, which is an invaluable piece of legislation to have pass through Congress. So, our good Liberal friends decide to play games with the money and try to abuse their power, and even overstep their Constitutional powers, by trying to micromanage the war from Capitol Hill.
Not only have they weighed down the funding bill with nothing but pork and outrageous wasting of tax payer money, but have included a joke of a timeline for the war. They are trying to install a deadline for victory in the war and pull out. Guess what an official pull-out date does? Gives the enemy a date to celebrate their victory. YOU CANNOT SET A DATE TO WIN A WAR AND PULL OUT.
You know what would happen if we did that? Suddenly, miraculously, violence would decline...only rare, random fringe acts of violence would occur. Mostly, though, the war would seem won. Then, the democrats could claim THEIR legistlation won the war...then, when the last platoons of our troops are on their way out...when MoveOn.org, I mean the Democrats, well, they are one in the same since MoveOn.org is the puppet masters of John Kerry, Hillary "Fake Southern Accent" Clinton, John "Pretty Girl" Edwards, and Ted "Where is the bridge again?" Kennedy, and the rest of the libs, have gotten their way, their cry of defeat...just then, ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE.
Iraq will be invaded with a vengeance from Iran and Syria. Our last few platoons will be left out to dry and become target practice as the terrorists invade. Iraq will fall into a massive hysteria and violence...the streets of Baghdad will literally run red from the killing of men, women, and children. And the work and sacrifice of the thousands of troops who fought in this war will be wasted as we have to reinvade to try to save the world from third World War. But, it might be too late.
Sadly, most Americans will buy the garbage the liberals and the liberal media sell you. They will lie to you and tell you that we are on a brink of a world war due to Bush's war with Iraq, and the forced pull-out will have nothing to do with it.
Please, America, see what is going on. America's finest and bravest are being used as toys in a political power play by the democrats. It is sad, sick, and as traitorous as anything imaginable. Our troops deserve better...our troops shouldn't be gambled for political points...and we as Americans cannot let this ploy work.
It just disgusts me. Why anyone would support liberal thought is beyond me.

So, our good Liberal friends decide to play games with the money and try to abuse their power, and even overstep their Constitutional powers, by trying to micromanage the war from Capitol Hill.
Not only have they weighed down the funding bill with nothing but pork and outrageous wasting of tax payer money, but have included a joke of a timeline for the war. They are trying to install a deadline for victory in the war and pull out. Guess what an official pull-out date does? Gives the enemy a date to celebrate their victory. YOU CANNOT SET A DATE TO WIN A WAR AND PULL OUT.
You know what would happen if we did that? Suddenly, miraculously, violence would decline...only rare, random fringe acts of violence would occur. Mostly, though, the war would seem won. Then, the democrats could claim THEIR legistlation won the war...then, when the last platoons of our troops are on their way out...when MoveOn.org, I mean the Democrats, well, they are one in the same since MoveOn.org is the puppet masters of John Kerry, Hillary "Fake Southern Accent" Clinton, John "Pretty Girl" Edwards, and Ted "Where is the bridge again?" Kennedy, and the rest of the libs, have gotten their way, their cry of defeat...just then, ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE.
Iraq will be invaded with a vengeance from Iran and Syria. Our last few platoons will be left out to dry and become target practice as the terrorists invade. Iraq will fall into a massive hysteria and violence...the streets of Baghdad will literally run red from the killing of men, women, and children. And the work and sacrifice of the thousands of troops who fought in this war will be wasted as we have to reinvade to try to save the world from third World War. But, it might be too late.
Sadly, most Americans will buy the garbage the liberals and the liberal media sell you. They will lie to you and tell you that we are on a brink of a world war due to Bush's war with Iraq, and the forced pull-out will have nothing to do with it.
Please, America, see what is going on. America's finest and bravest are being used as toys in a political power play by the democrats. It is sad, sick, and as traitorous as anything imaginable. Our troops deserve better...our troops shouldn't be gambled for political points...and we as Americans cannot let this ploy work.
It just disgusts me. Why anyone would support liberal thought is beyond me.

ALgore and the hypocrasy of the Liberal Left
To hear Al Gore and the left tell it, you and I average Americans are the only ones responsible for any possible pollution and damage to the Earth and this mystery called "Global Warming."
In 30 years, we went from a Global Cooling and possible Ice Age on the horizon to a Global Warming of catostrophic proportions. And it is you and my fault...and not anyone on the left.
And to compensate for our misuse and abuse of the Earth, they are now buying and selling Carbon Offsets.
What is a Carbon Offset? It is a deed or activity done to offset the damage done by one's carbon emmissions. You drive an SUV and emit so much carbon exhaust, you can pay a company to offset those emmissions by planting trees or "researching" ways to trap methane from cow flatulence...yes, you could offset your damage to the Earth by paying a company to figure out how to TRAP COW FARTS.
I am not a psychic, but I do see some cow emmissions...but its from a bull and its not in gaseous form, if you catch my drift.
Yet, with near unlimited financial resources and connections, these same preachers of the gospel of anti-carbon emmissions and carbon offset purchases, these same people do anything but try to lead by example. They drive their Hummers and Escalades and stretch limos...fly in private jets and private jumbo jets...air condition barns full of their own movie and personal memorabelia...air condition or heat empty homes that they stay in only once every so often. The cast of your average Hollywood production emits more carbon and pollution that the rest of the country combined...yet they dare preach to us.
The city of Hong Kong uses twice as much energy as the United States...yet why doesn't Al Gore fly there in his fuel-guzzling private jet to preach to them about carbon offsets? Why? Because the Chinese would see through his B.S. and laugh his psycho comb-over out of the country.
Yet here, Leo DiCaprio and Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn all jump on this bandwagon and cheer for the idea that paying a for-profit company to research trapping cow farts will offset their wasteful use of energy, gas, and other resources.
Why do people buy into the hypocrasy without question? I don't get why America doesn't tell these morons to shut up and get off my TV.

Foley is SICK...And the politics of Children's Safety.
Okay, so by now I am sure you have heard something about the Republican congressman that e-mailed or instant messaged a young male page. The content of those messages was rather explicit, on occasion, and definitely showed some inpropriety on the part of Foley.
Let me preface the following paragraphs with this bit of information. I have no problem with homosexual people. I do not in anyway support their lifestyle or their choice in partners, but, as a whole, as it pertains to the individual person, I do not hold ill will or other prejudice towards homosexuals. I would rather they choose the natural order of things and love the opposite sex, but I do not have that power. So, to be straight and clear, I do not hate or judge or discriminate against gays, lesbians, or homosexuals in general. I don't agree with their choices. That doesn't make me a bad person. I disagree with their opinions on certain issues.
So, that being said, I want to say that I think Foley is sick for abusing his position of power to coerce a teenage boy into a homosexual relationship. The whole story is sick and dispicable. His solicitation of a homosexual relationship from a young boy is wrong on every level. I think Foley is sick and I am glad he resigned. If he committed any crime, throw him in jail! Throw away the key.
Now, what is almost as bad as Foley is the liberal left's handling of the situation. A group funded by billionaire liberal whacko George Soros had the incriminating documents as early as April of this year. Instead of turning it over to authorities immediately, they held it until we are just over 1 month from election time. Makes sense, right? Use a scandal to regain the House and Senate.
Why not?
I will tell you why not. I will also tell you why our country cannot afford to allow this tactic to work.
First, this evidence was not just some incriminating documents...this was proof of a child/sexual predator. So, they held evidence that could stop one young man from being taken advantage of, and possible prevent future abuses, for political gain. Makes you wonder what they would NOT have hidden. Is there any level at which the left will not hide evidence until it suits their needs?
Its scary to think what they might cover up until it is politically beneficial, no matter how much suffering and pain and criminal activity may ensue by their irresponsibility. Do you think that information that could prevent a terrorist attack would be immune from being held up if the liberals thought it could help their cause?
Second, the liberals are always trumpeting their support of gay rights and NAMBLA and such. Yet, they don't care to throw gays under the bus when they think they can step on them to move forward. The democrats are threatening to out gay republicans and go after any gay person to hurt the rebulicans as we go toward the election. Their hypocrisy is scary.
I really think that anyone who held documents that incriminated Foley should be arrested for obstruction of justice.
I hope the voters can see the truth through the smoke screen of the left and the liberal media. I hope they don't give the power of the US Congress to a bunch of cut-and-run, never-get-the-job-done, raise-your-taxes, throw-gays-and-minorities-and-anyone-we-choose-under-the-bus-when-it-suits-our-needs liberals.
Then again, there is only so long that the loud, obnoxious screams of the liberal media and Hollywood will stay ineffective. Perhaps this November will be painful for the Conservative cause...and only the new media of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will point out the obvious problems with this situation.

Justice John Roberts Confirmation Battle
DING DING DING!!!
In this corner...standing 6 feet, from Buffalo, New York...with an incredible record and ample qualifications...the nominee for the vacant seat on the Supreme Court...Justice John G. Roberts, Junior! Junior!!
And in this corner...his opponents....the party of no platform...the party of obstruction...the party who wants judges to legislate from the bench....the challengers to every move George W. Bush makes...the undisputed losers of the 2000, 2002, and 2004 elections....the Democrat Liberals! Liberals!
Ladies and gentlemen...Are you rrrrrrrrrrrrready???? For the sake of the Constitution, and thousands of generations to come....LET'S GET READY TO FILIBUSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I guess we do need Michael Buffer to get this thing started. Let me get this straight and catch everyone up.
Sandra Day O'Connor leaves the bench of the Supreme Court at the end of June. Within days, liberal groups like MoveOn.org and Planned Parenthood go into hyperactive, extra chocolate to a 4 year old mode. They are raising money to combat ANY nominee George Bush sends to slaughter...I mean, confirmation.
Special interest groups trying to influence a nomination for the Supreme Court with a grass roots campaign? WHAT?? Grass roots campaigns are efforts to get your guy (or gal) elected. If you fail, sorry, thanks for playing...what do we have for them Bob? The ELECTED president has the right, the power, to nominate whomever he chooses. That is the beauty and the spoils of running a clean campaign and letting personal and vicious attacks roll off you like water on a ducks back. Bush won...decisively...and the libbies refuse to accept it. Instead of recoiling and regrouping, they keep swinging like a drunk at an imaginary piňata.
The good news is, they are looking like total jackasses...especially with YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Howard Dean in charge.
The bad news is, a minority is holding up the progress of the ELECTED MAJORITY. So, while the 60 million who proudly cast the Red State votes are stuck in a stalemate, the liberals salivate over ever snag they can put into the agenda of GWB.
Back to topic...Judge John G. Roberts, Jr. We knew whomever Bush selected (with the exceptions of Bill or Hillary, Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Usama Bin Laden, Adolph Hitler, or Barbara Streisand) would be sliced and diced, pureed and whipped, and stuck in limbo as much as possible...the future of the country be dammed. We knew this just hours after O'Connor resigned.
We knew we were in for a struggle when Ted "HIC" Kennedy put down the whiskey long enough to tell us that he was going to make certain that O'Connor's replacement will fight for the rights of the individual and not take away people's rights. Ok, let me explain this.
LEGISLATORS fight for people's rights, for individual freedom...not justices. Justices apply the law to the constitution...apply circumstances to the Constitution. Justices are not supposed to determine policy and law from the bench...only the constitutionality of a law and how the law affects the people. Justices do not fight. They weigh. They weigh evidence, facts, expert opinions, and the word of law. Justices to not fight for people...Legislators do.
So, what the drunk lady killer is trying to admit to in his inebriated stupor is this: If we (the democrats) cannot win an election...we want our legislation done by the ladies and gentlemen in the black robes.
This is going to be a eventful couple of months. Roberts' résumé is spotless and impressive. His record in the courtroom is impeccable. If the democrats were a fair, reasonable bunch, the up or down vote would be done well in advance of October, when the Supreme Court reconvenes.
However, because the liberals hate Bush...hate his aggressive, positive agenda...and hate conservatives...the libbies are going to do everything possible to prevent a smoot, successful transition. Instead, fillibusters will be used. Delay and stall tactics will be used. Everything and anything they can do to slow Bush's second term, consider it done.
I wish the liberals would wake up and smell what their shoveling. I love what their doing because it hurts them in future elections.
I hate what their doing because they are damaging my country right now.
