Well, I guess we do need Michael Buffer to get this thing started. Let me get this straight and catch everyone up.
Sandra Day O'Connor leaves the bench of the Supreme Court at the end of June. Within days, liberal groups like MoveOn.org and Planned Parenthood go into hyperactive, extra chocolate to a 4 year old mode. They are raising money to combat ANY nominee George Bush sends to slaughter...I mean, confirmation.
Special interest groups trying to influence a nomination for the Supreme Court with a grass roots campaign? WHAT?? Grass roots campaigns are efforts to get your guy (or gal) elected. If you fail, sorry, thanks for playing...what do we have for them Bob? The ELECTED president has the right, the power, to nominate whomever he chooses. That is the beauty and the spoils of running a clean campaign and letting personal and vicious attacks roll off you like water on a ducks back. Bush won...decisively...and the libbies refuse to accept it. Instead of recoiling and regrouping, they keep swinging like a drunk at an imaginary piňata.
The good news is, they are looking like total jackasses...especially with YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Howard Dean in charge.
The bad news is, a minority is holding up the progress of the ELECTED MAJORITY. So, while the 60 million who proudly cast the Red State votes are stuck in a stalemate, the liberals salivate over ever snag they can put into the agenda of GWB.
Back to topic...Judge John G. Roberts, Jr. We knew whomever Bush selected (with the exceptions of Bill or Hillary, Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Usama Bin Laden, Adolph Hitler, or Barbara Streisand) would be sliced and diced, pureed and whipped, and stuck in limbo as much as possible...the future of the country be dammed. We knew this just hours after O'Connor resigned.
We knew we were in for a struggle when Ted "HIC" Kennedy put down the whiskey long enough to tell us that he was going to make certain that O'Connor's replacement will fight for the rights of the individual and not take away people's rights. Ok, let me explain this.
LEGISLATORS fight for people's rights, for individual freedom...not justices. Justices apply the law to the constitution...apply circumstances to the Constitution. Justices are not supposed to determine policy and law from the bench...only the constitutionality of a law and how the law affects the people. Justices do not fight. They weigh. They weigh evidence, facts, expert opinions, and the word of law. Justices to not fight for people...Legislators do.
So, what the drunk lady killer is trying to admit to in his inebriated stupor is this: If we (the democrats) cannot win an election...we want our legislation done by the ladies and gentlemen in the black robes.
This is going to be a eventful couple of months. Roberts' résumé is spotless and impressive. His record in the courtroom is impeccable. If the democrats were a fair, reasonable bunch, the up or down vote would be done well in advance of October, when the Supreme Court reconvenes.
However, because the liberals hate Bush...hate his aggressive, positive agenda...and hate conservatives...the libbies are going to do everything possible to prevent a smoot, successful transition. Instead, fillibusters will be used. Delay and stall tactics will be used. Everything and anything they can do to slow Bush's second term, consider it done.
I wish the liberals would wake up and smell what their shoveling. I love what their doing because it hurts them in future elections.
I hate what their doing because they are damaging my country right now.

Liberalism at its Worst
Dick Durbin is a slime...and is the a-typical liberal.
His comparisons of our men and women to the evils of Stalinist Soviet troops and Hitler's Nazis is despicable, hurtful, cruel, and unfair. Our troops are NOTHING like the Nazis and Soviets. There are not mass graves of prisoners being filled. There are not massive numbers of casualties once a foreign combatant is apprehended.
Yet, liberals get away with attacking our troops this way because they are allowed to attack the President with reckless abandon. What better way to attack a war time president than to attack the men and women who are serving him?
"Our troops at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are running the facilities like a Soviet gulag. Their mistreatment of the prisoners is like the Nazis. But, I support and love and am proud of our military."
How does that work? In essence, this is what Durbin and the liberal left is purporting. How can you accuse someone, FALSELY ACCUSE, that is, of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and in the next breath talk about how supportive and proud you are of them.
Durbin's comments were cruel, insensitive, and gave the enemy exactly what they want: another soundbite from a prominent American leader that supports the terrorist agenda. Yet, the alphabet channels will not call Durbin to the mat for this. Instead, we see a parade of liberals who refuse to call him out and speak out against the attacks on President Bush and our troops.
Thank God for Mayor Richard M. Daley in Chicago. He is one democrat who has his own thought processes. Instead of taking the kool aide and going along with the program, Daley has stepped up and demanded Durbin to right his wrong.
Durbin, instead, gave a bogus apology in which he defended his comments. If you are truly sorry, there is no need to defend the comments for which you are sorry. Instead, Durbin only says, "I'm sorry if I offended you," quoting loosely, and does not say he is sorry for what he said. He is sorry people did not get his message clearly and were hurt by it.
I am all for differing ideas, differing thoughts, and differing beliefs. I think that is the beauty of America. If you disagree with an ideal, policy, practice, or plan, fine! Cool! Great! Let's hear WHY and let's hear an alternative??

They attack every idea and plan...every person and suggestion and every proposed solution. Meanwhile, they offer no alternatives. They offer nothing but whining and complaining. Its easy to not be wrong and to be on the correct side when you don't pick a side and don't stick to a moral and ethical code.

Party Of Obstruction
Well, gee, I thought the caped crusaders led by McCain and company settled all this with their "Compromise" with the democrats. I thought that the democrats and republicans eased tensions with the Magnificent Seven. I thought we could get things moving...
NOT!!
Instead, McCain and company sold out their party to the enemy. They are the enemy because the Republicans gave an inch, and now they are forcing that inch to be closer to a mile. Thank you McCain and Co. for selling out your party and in essence, taking away the momentum and power that the Republicans earned as a result of the past two elections.
Now, President Bush has to do one of two things. Either wait until Congress recesses for the summer and give Bolton the nomination to the UN at that point (which democrats and the liberal media are salivating for so they can once again try to paint a LEADER as a rogue president trying to force his agenda on the US and world). OR...President Bush must find a "suitable" nomination for the US ambassador to the UN. (I am guessing Jon Stewart or Michael Moore would be suitable by these liberals' standards.)
I would give the democrats some benefit of doubt if they would simply explain WHY they are being so obstructionist. I know why....but I want to hear legit excuses instead of "we don't know enough about him" or "he just isn't right." Come on. Seriously.
Bolton, like the many judicial nominees that the obstructionists filibustered and blocked from their rightful appointments, has only one fault...one reason for being held up in congress. That reason: they were nominated by George Bush.
It is the goal, pledge, solemn vow of the liberals in congress to drag their feet and slow progress as much as possible for the next four years. They want things to move so slowly Bush will not complete his agenda. They think that soundbites played over and over about a rogue president with a conservative agenda that will destroy America will back them up in their quest to halt the progress of the country.
The problem is, as far as liberals are concerned, the majority of voters in the United States aren't as dumb and dependant on the liberals in power as they'd like. The people who vote are clear thinking and actually think for themselves and do not let Michael Moore, Jon Stewart, Dan Blather, or the like determine their thoughts, feelings, and voting preference.
Unfortunately, it is still 18 months until we see the effects of the 2006 mid-terms. However, I do think there will be a lot of changes in that election. Incumbent seats may be lost on both sides. I think the Magnificent Seven may see some members sent home...and I think, overall, the Republicans will pick up more seats and run the Howard Deans and the like out of Washington.
However, we must remain on our toes. Hillary has been fairly quiet and out of a lot of the picture lately. Dean may be a planned patsy for the democrats....send Dean, Richard Durbin and the other loud mouths who are berating Bush, the war, and our troops....send them all out to get the soundbites so when Hillary runs, she'll end up looking like a moderate. Mark my words. She and the democrats are painting a portrait in which she will be looked at as moderate. God help us if people buy that story.

Liberal Obstructionism
Well, its been a long time since I posted, so I thought I should post now.
Ok, where shall I begin?
I want to address the unbelieveable, unethical, abhorrant rantings of liberals lately.
Claiming that GitMo is a gulag...comparing our troops to the Nazis...calling our President a loser...spreading the lie that President Bush knew about the 9-11 attacks ahead of time...calling for impeachment.
Howard Dean, the leader of the Democratic National Party, is the worst of them all right now. And no democrat will call Dean, or Charlie Rangel or any of these people out for their total disrespect to our troops, our president, and our country.
Ever since Bill Clinton tainted the office of the President of the United States of America, the left has had absolutely zero respect for the office. The office of the President of the United States is nothing more than the leader of a fraternity. If he is the leader of an opposing frat, then he is fair game for personal attacks, unwarranted attacks, insluts, berating, attacks based on false/trumped up information, and childish name calling.
If he is the leader of your frat, then everything is cool. Dodge the draft? Cool...the war sucked anyway. Smoked weed? Cool, me too! Slept around? Awesome...and your wife stayed with you? Even better. You lied under oath? Well, it was none of their business anyway. You gave out presidential pardons like candy at a parade? Sweet...I have a cousin...
Bill Clinton did more than turn a decade of prosperity into a recession. He did more than ignore the threats posed by Al Queda. He did more than ignore the problems with social security, our dependance on foreign oil, our wide open borders. He left a leagacy where the Oval Office is no longer an area of humility and respect...he left a legacy where his party disregards any positive discourse and ethics in relation to the highest office in our nation. Clinton made us terminally weak because his legacy destroyed the power, respect, and integrity of the Presidency.
President Bush is fighting valiantly to restore that lost respect. When the vicious attacks come, he graciously bows out of verbal spats and tries to focus back on the problem at hand. He consistantly reaches across the aisle to try and get both sides involved..see no child left behind....and he is fighting to stick to his second term agenda.
Because of Clinton's tarnish job on the office, Bush meets nothing but resistance, insult, lies, and undermining from the people he is reaching out to for help in acheiving success in this term and for future generations. Bush is running into obstacles in getting the most mundane of tasks done thanks to the Obstructionist left.
Four years...FOUR YEARS....let me state that again...FOUR YEARS...that is one-thousand, four hundred, and sixty-one days....the obstructionist left has prevented Bush-nominated judges from taking their rightful positions. Condeleeza Rice had to jump through hoops to get to the Secretary of State position...all the while her integrity was questioned and the liberals, who claim to be for equal opportunity and are supposed to be in favor of minorities earning success, tried to use her race and stereotypes about her race to discredit her. Why is a successful black a great thing as long as he or she is a liberal? Why is every conservative african American an Uncle Tom?
My point is, the liberals are nothing but obstructionists. They offer no solutions or alternatives. They pass out their talking points and run to the ends of the media to proclaim that everything Bush says, does, thinks, proposes, or plans is going to destroy the country.
No. Liberals are destroying the country.
Instead of saying no no no no no no no no no no no no no...impeach!...let me see a real attempt at finding a solution from a liberal.
They can't. This is a group of people who have not had an original thought since the end of World War II. All they do is slow progress...point fingers...yell and scream the same things over and over...and never offer anything to improve society on any level.
And it keeps getting worse. Dean and Rangel and the like are hurting this country. They are impeding progress. They are obstructionists. I hope more people see this and cash in their "I'm dependant on the small government the democrats want" t-shirt for a free thought and a visit to conservatism.
